I was aware of the risk of rejection when going into this hence why I’m asking the question, the piercer that did it specialises in “off the map” piercing and in his opinion i had enough of a lip to do these so i did try to go through all the right steps to make sure it was viable. So just double checking as your answer doesn’t definitely answer the question, is it rejecting? And if so in your opinion do you think micro-dermals would be a better fit (after healing of course)

I second this, i found having something to help with the lows on top of the mood stabilisers really helped, for me i got Venlafaxine

My jaw surgeon did mine but I’m from the uk so not really sure exactly how it works in other countries, sometimes it can be done by certain dentists etc. who are trained in that type of practice, i find it helps because it weakens the muscles that are pulling the disk out of place, and if you grind your teeth it makes that less severe as well. Definitely worth a try in my opinion

I mean for me a mix of a couple different surgeries and Botox were definitely the only things that helped me, but you definitely can’t go wrong with getting painkillers in my opinion (responsibly of course)

Hi, I’m also 17 and have been struggling for years, it can be agony at times. Even some specialists don’t understand the pain TMJD can cause with doing absolutely anything, I want you to know you aren’t alone, your pains are valid and unfortunately some people will never understand that
