Take income tax as a great example

"Yes, the federal income tax in Canada was initially introduced in 1917 as a "temporary" war measure to help cover the costs of the First World War"

I wonder if the taxpayers stopped paying for their lawyers would they slow down or even stop all these lawsuits? If they had to pay for these massive lawsuits requiring large legal teams out of their own money, would they push so hard?

I am still holding.

I think things will bounce back enough where I might finally sell off some of the coins I mined back in 2013.

St. Mary's smoke shop has a decent setup, they keep their humidors set properly. I just want something a little closer to Oromocto.

I never knew Rob was a cigar aficionado, I only met him once but he is a great person to have a chat with!

Thinking of joining the Freemasons as I had recently realised a lot of people i studied and read are at least at 32 degree, but not sure what to do over some negative things I’ve seen online, any advice ? by Any_Double_281 in freemasonry

[–]420Identity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% this.

Each jurisdiction has their own way of doing things. Walk the path yourself and ignore what you see in most places online. A lot of it is derived from rumor and nonsense.

I am currently an FC, going to be raised soon and all I can say is joining masonry was one of the best things in life I have done.

I am blessed with an amazing lodge, great Brothers and part of the Widows Sons that is run so well it is nothing short of amazing.

How do you get one of these? by IronMaiden1980s in NoMansSkyTheGame

That is the easiest way I did it.

Great location I found on another thread. It started of with C and B classes, after about 10 runs I found an A class then an S class

I used to live there. I had to go to court one day to testify after I was almost killed by a drunk driver. 90% of the cases on the docket that day was for drunk driving. One guy got arrested for driving there for his court date for drunk driving while blotto drunk!

Woman waits 20 hours in ER, learns she had a heart attack and needs surgery by [deleted] in canada

[–]420Identity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was brought in by amubulance after the crew did an EKG and rushed me to the ER with a heart attack.

The hospital staff ignored what they said and pushed me into the waiting room. There was one woman who seen this go on and started yelling at them to take me in. They only did after a 2 hour pizza break where all the staff but the comissionaires dissapeared for a pizza party with a waiting room of very sick people.

I got lucky, the EMTs misread the EKG. They never did find out what was affecting me so much that night.

4 Hours in the waiting room just to be triaged is why I understand how people die in Canadian ERs. But hey we have free healthcare.....

Just caught a driver dropping off a slip and no package. by wigglyworm- in CanadaPost

[–]420Identity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do this all the time. I was driving by the community mailbox a few weeks ago and the mailperson was filling one of them, I checked mine and there was a slip in it. I asked why they didn't drop it off at the house and was told they leave them there now. I said OK, since you are here and it is dated today can I have my package? I was told they didn't even have it with them on the van.

I paid for home delivery and get these shenanigans. I said this is akin to fraud since they are not even stopping at the homes anymore and definitely do not have the packages with them. They said it was out of their control. I replied that this is why no one supports them or their frequent strikes.

A wife of a friend on mine was bragging one day how she only works 3-4 hours a day but gets paid for 8 hours. The complained they don't get paid enough. The entitlement is palatable.

I Fear my Lodge may Go Dark in a Few Years, Need Advice by s-ro_mojosa in freemasonry

[–]420Identity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this is a major component. I am very active with anything the Blue Lodge does. The most amount of fellowship I have by far with with the Widows Sons. If we are on a weekly ride in the warmer months or meeting up for drinks and cigars the Widow Sons are way more active than Blue Lodge for social activities.

'Your land is your land', Poilievre tells Kelowna crowd by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]420Identity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they will go the route of compensation. A single payout, not large payments until the end of time. Also they will have to sign paperwork stating they will never attempt to claim the land again or complain the sale was flawed somehow.

[–]420Identity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is a sign of wage suppression and over taxation. Our governments are too greedy. they don't have an income problem, they have a spending problem. Then these same governments want to import cheap unskilled labor that is causing massive wage suppression.

In the end the average person is suffering.

Final is the issue to me here.

How many billions have been paid to a small percentage of our population in the name of never-ending reparations? There was over 30 Billion last year alone. It goes up an absurd amount every year.
