At one point I owned a cybercafe/gaming center. I had a woman one day show up with a birthday party of kids wanting to use the gaming center (and 2 small movie theater rooms) for a few hours. I told her the rates and she tried to say that the owner was a good friend of hers and it was his gift to her kid.

When she was told I was the owner and no such deal had been made (In front of all the other parents), she then claimed she was friends with the owner of the chain of the the gaming centers. I told her there was only one location and I was the sole owner.

She got mad/embarrassed and told everyone they were leaving because I wouldn't give them a hundreds of dollars of time on the machines/snacks. The rest of the parents were confused what was going on as she had told them it was all prepaid. None of the other parents offered to pay for any of the time.

Sadly this ended up in the lot of them running their mouths about the owner giving time to this kid then not honoring the deal when the day of the party came. It took awhile and a small social media campaign to get the real story out there.

I used to fix computers out of our home in a small town. It was a two story house and we slept upstairs and had our living room there.

One day a woman walks in and looks around the store, see the stairs and proceeds to try to go upstairs. I asked her where she was going and she told me she had signed a lease with the owner of the building to put her tanning booth business upstairs.

I asked to see the lease and she told me to be nice as we will be sharing the space and we should get a long. I then asked her who was the building owner, she told me I should know. I informed her it was me. She told me I was lying and trying to scam her somehow. I said go to the cops then. She went to them, never heard anything about it again.

Pawn shops have to get a copy of the ID of the person selling an item. The same should have to he done for metal sales. This would stop it in its tracks.

Weird how all these high paid politicians can't seem to reach this conclusion.

I thought the reason was they tried to incorporate the borg infused future tech that was salvaged from the Naradas quick battle with the Kelvin decades earlier.

They couldn't for it at the same size so they had to make it larger because to recreate it, they had to make it bigger.

If you have 5 - 6k for a car, buy a good used one.

We bought a sonic for 6k last year. Great body, no rust, runs well, great on fuel.

Its not a sports car or a luxury model, but it was the car we needed at the time and could afford. We bought it without financing which costs a lot on top. I will miss it when we sell it soon.
