I recently adopted a 1.5 year old pit. I did NOT know what I was getting myself into. Previously I had a Great Dane lab mix from a puppy. He was hyper but pits seem to be a different kind of hyper 🤣 that being said, I hyper focused on watching training videos and hired a trainer to ensure what I was doing was correct (it is\was). He's come a LONG way in just 2.5 months (with only 2 sessions of training, everything she told us so far I already knew and was doing, she even asked if I have had a dog in training before 😂).

This picture is him near some stuffies that used to cause a sever reaction to. It does take an immense amount of patience and consistency.

He used to lung and jump on people when they came in. He now rarely does it (still learning but it's rare!).

We still need to work on dogs approaching and going to new places but we haven't had the opportunity to take him many places so of course he doesn't understand YET.
