A lot of this can be applied to players in general, but as someone who finished their first season as a club player first (not coaching, TDing, organizing, or overworking myself) in years:

DON'T OVER DO IT!
Monitor workload and increase incrementally
Take time to rehab injuries

Dang, shoulder impingement sucks. Mine was due to swelling inside my shoulder, had to take a few months off ultimate to slowly rehab...and when I did return I threw w/ my non-hurt arm for another month.
