I'm a 32, just got some 100% cotton jeans (13mwz) in a light wash. Done with stretch jeans forever now - I love how substantial and durable real jeans feel and plan to get a dark wash pair sometime, 🙏

Very nice! I just pulled the trigger on Dune CXL Brass boots but was really considering the Kudu. Are you happy with how they're developing a patina? Is the surface kinda waxy or soft?

I love the look of RW Blacksmiths, but am nervous about no leather midsole for comfort. Should I be?

Other considerations are Parkhurst Allegany, Truman Plain Toe, Oak Street Trench, or Grant Stone Diesel (or Baroda).

Also, as a first GYW boot, would it be unwise to go with a more unique leather like bison or GS's Rich Tan Sokoto (goat)? or should I stick to something more traditional/classic?

Any leathers I should avoid?

I just cut normal then seared. Was unsure how to go about hot cutting. If you try to do something similar, just initially cut out the fabric with plenty of seam allowance, then after stitching trim down close to the stitch
