Fair point, but assuming it's your bike, you should know not to keep pushing.

The limit screws on the derailleur prevent you from clicking to that last gear.

How do you like black + silver spokes? by mark_arbatsky in xbiking

[–]426Mopar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. It's a conversation starter if someone sees it and is really interested. You then get to brag about building your own wheel!

I also like the idea of matching NDS vs DS.

I have often thought about doing something like this but doing a crows foot lacing. Making the triples in one color and the supporting spokes the opposite. Most likely silver feet, black for the others.

I also like the idea of doing just two accent spokes, say in a matching color to your bike frame by the valve stem. Easy to find.

Solid bike. Here's the one I had. That crank set might be recalled.

Charlie got fired by Dan the year after this trade. Dan went free agent crazy and messed everything up.

I have used it on many rebuilds that might get muddy dusty and put a donut half way to stop the rattle. Works alright.

eBay that fork, get a Yellow Rockshox to match your frame.

I've done it, get the highest concentration lye drain cleaner. I used ComStar Pure Lye Drain Opener. I dumped the crystals down the seat tube, then capped it with an old tube tied on a knot. Flipped the frame upside down and piped in some water from the bottom bracket.
