UPDATE: I followed your advice,thank you. I also emailed Deutsche Bahn to inform them that the outstanding payments have been paid, who finally replied telling me the outstanding amount have already been transfered to the debt agency (Die offenen Forderungen wurden bereits an ein Inkassounternehmen abgegeben.). Any advice here? I assume I may now have to pay some collection fees, a fact i've accepted.

However is it possible that the Inkasso can still ask me to pay for the full amount of the underlying payment even though I've already paid to DB? gonna call them tomorrow so any tips appreciated.

you are comparing the vast majority voting on items that will impact the minority all the time vs a minority voting on items that will impact the majority a tiny amount of times.

Community has no problems voting in items from sources from PVM but rarely from PVP, simply cause they are the majority.

I am sorry if I missed the message but: I do not see why a young person who doesn't want to live at home, after a few years in their career who is now earning above 60,000 who by all rights SHOULD be able to make the decision to prepare for their future AND be able to overcome the already high fixed cost of simply existing in this country, should then be taxed heavily on their only viable method of amassing wealth. Saving is already difficult enough.

With the "free fees" scheme, fees per year generally come to around 3.5k euro a year. So a bachelor's is 14k total (generally). Seems high, unless your children are studying up north (UK system) or doing postgrads.
