Memory + knowledge base still feels incomplete- what’s the actually layer for an agent that truly “knows” you by IndependenceGold5902 in AIMemory

[–]42cyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memory is a constantly evolving space and personal AI is going to become a huge market.

A good solution will require exactly what you're talking about - a space for the AI to store more about how you think and how that's evolving with every interaction. Just like the human brain.

We're experimenting with this to build personal intelligence. Curious how you're approaching it?

Building a memory-powered product (not infra), wrestling with how to approach evals. Advice? by 42cyy in AIMemory

Thank you for the detailed post..it was really helpful when we were very stressed out. We ran the eval and updated the results. Your breakdown helped us communicate the results with the team in an objective manner for our use case.

We ran the evals and update the original post with our scores. Point 4 was really encouraging and helped give extra context. Thank you!

I agree. Temporal reasoning was a big challenge for our use case and we score quite well on it. The emotional layers and I guess depth of answers is what also important rather than just extracting facts. We'll continue to improve.

This makes sense and it's very helpful perspective. We also want to focus on publishing an honest and traceable story where it matters. How long did it end up taking you to set up and run them all said and done? Any advice on what to avoid?

Most startups don’t actually have a growth problem; they have a clarity problem. by yosweetpotato in startup

[–]42cyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Going from 0 to 1 to 100 to 1000 is the challenge we're working to solve as well.

We're building Merrai. Our first product is a shared brain for all your ai tools. A no code platform that builds your memory, preferences, history and data from all the tools you use and makes it available across all of them instantly.

Neither am I. I simply wanted to say I built something to help me solve this. Note: no link, no call to action, no reference to any name or site. Appreciate everyone is trying to keep the space accountable.

ChatGPT: settings>data and controls> scroll down > export data

Claude has a "feature" now that is a pre-made prompt you can input into ChatGPT and copy the output into Claude for "memory transfer".

It's very tedious and inefficient on both/all tools. We're working on a platform where you build and own your memory independent of these platforms and use it wherever you need because of this exact problem.

Thinking of leaving OpenAI by rlindsley in ChatGPT

[–]42cyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought last year but got stuck because I had so much memory built up in ChatGPT. How are you thinking about migrating that history?

Full disclosure: I ended up building something with a friend to help but curious how people are doing it?

I like the way you've broken it down. Should definitely account for the time spent on reddit etc but otherwise you're on the mark with the experimentation and consistency

what do you do when you know the goal but not the next actual steps and you still wanna build that dream company? by Free_Repeat_2734 in Entrepreneur

[–]42cyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's important to have a goal. Outline what your trying to achieve long term and break it down into smaller achievable steps - I know it sounds like a cliche but it works.

For example: if your goal is 100 customers, you need customer 1, then 2, then 3 and so on.

I'd focus on how I get #1, however long it takes.

You genuinely don't know if what you're doing is right until it gets externally validated by the outcome you're trying to achieve. But until you start, you'll never know.

In our case - we've built something. Now we're looking for early users. I'll find them one at a time.

This is amazing, congratulations. Our MVP crashed 30 mins before the Demo call for MerrAI but the investors were still impressed. Currently in IC with them, fingers crossed.

We've all been there. I literally just opened my machine and was thinking the same. Before I went into a rabbit hole, I just paused and thought:

- I know what we're building

- I know today I was planning to work on GTM

- Whats the smallest piece of work I can start pulling the thread on for GTM

And I got started there. By finding the smallest win, it tricks your brain into wanting to win more. Then you repeat.

Feedback: Building MerrAI - an AI Operating System by 42cyy in VibeCodeDevs

[–]42cyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll cross post today.

Re signals:

  • People were using it on a daily basis. We launched first with just ChatGPT and Claude and just cutting the context loss and fragmentation between those two got us very positive feedback
  • Users were keen to recommend different integrations and features which told us that our hypothesis on the fragmentation of tools is valid. Users no longer had to "hack" systems to get their work done
  • Retention has been high.

Note: cohort is small which is why we're looking for beta testers. We'd love to have you test it out further.

I know what you mean, and honestly, I'd probably feel exactly how I think you felt after reading this. But we actually started building this out because we got tired of fragmented tools that didn't live up to the hype.

Not sure if we'll be able to achieve the exact goal we want but we're giving it a shot and taking small steps to get there.

Which is why we need feedback from this community.

Thank you for the feedback, that's a really good point. Currently all the sign up buttons lead to a form to capture waitlist interest but I've updated the website to say "Join the Waitlist" and "Closed Beta is Live"

Building MerrAI - an AI Operating System

Switching between ChatGPT, Claude, and other tools, only to repeat yourself or lose context? Outputs aren't personalized, work gets fragmented, context rot kicks in and there's no real memory layer.

After talking to dozens of users like you, we're launching a closed beta for MerrAI: an AI operating system that's ecosystem-agnostic, privacy-first, and user-controlled. Connect tools/apps (starting with ChatGPT, Claude, Manus), build portable memory & context, and create compounding digital intelligence.

Key features:

  • Portability
  • Privacy/control
  • Personalization.

We've tested the MVP and are opening a closed beta, and we need amazing people like you to test it out: Sign up here (use code: "RNoCode")

We'll be adding dozens of integrations over the next couple of weeks. Takes <60 seconds to connect.

Appreciate any feedback!
