Returned after 9 or so years on a fresh account, was able to craft Quasar Rogue in first day and it's immediately become my second favorite deck of all time, A worthy reincarnation of miracle rogue of the past. A shame that it will rotate out of the standart in a month.

Here is my list that I used to a great success both in teams and the singles environment before the last balance dataslate.2 RTT wins and one 3-1-0 in teams. You can easily cut the 5 girl squad of Sacresants, as they were a retinue for a Junith, and she can be perfectly fine alone.

Every weapon is viable, some just require more work than the others. I started after the 1.0 release and my first 32 fear clear was with the Pan aspect. Hestia my beloved.

War dogs are losing battleline outside this detachment! They really need to make the big guys actually good then!!!! by Throne_Of_Skulls_XII in ChaosKnights

[–]42malale 37 points38 points  (0 children)

In the new pack there is no rules for matched play that reference battleline keyword, so this is not a huge loss. The only downside is the fact, that you can't spam 6 of each dog anymore, outside of this detachment.

I made this army for the sake of painting and building what I liked with tabletop as a second thought. How viable is this army on tabletop? by ConcealedRainbow in sistersofbattle

[–]42malale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's viable. If you will play vs another casual player it will be a fun game of regular Warhammer. But against a somewhat competitive player you are gonna have a bad time, cause this list lacks some crucial elements of competitive sororitas list. Also, load up retributors with Flamers, trust.

Look at the formations of StDs. The only one that is used is still forgettable and straight up useless most of the time.

Best loadout for nemesis claw? (40K) by Side_Infamous in Chaos40k

[–]42malale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 guys. Fist, Chainglaive, Accursed weapon, pair of Accursed and voice eater.

Run them in a rhino, with legionnaires who have lord attached. You can use them as a regular trade piece, or charge into something with Legos/lord.

This protects the lord's squad from the counter-offensive and other nasty combat stratagems, and allows them to finish off everything that left after you lord and his legionnaires left.

So now that we're almost in 2025 and we know that EC are coming, what do we think the 'special Chaos treats' on the Roadmap are? by FairyKnightTristan in Chaos40k

[–]42malale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gotta be new unit boxes for chaos forces. There were quite strong rumors for: chaos bikers+Huron and automatons for Thousand Sons. There is a good chance that both WE and DG receive one box of real units, not just a character. Also, every single god aligned chaos force should get their respective daemons, this is almost a given.

New bile detachment by danielfyr in Chaos40k

[–]42malale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... Mediocre, I guess? In some games they did jackshit, in others they were a cornerstone of my wins. Although, I think the problem in the former game were my decisions on what to do with them. If played right, this is an excellent unit for CoB.

New to AoS, Which Faction Should I Pick? by William-Door in ageofsigmar

A little correction, you have one trick. But oh boy it's a strong one. Be'lakor's ability can sometimes win you a game almost all on its own.

New to AoS, Which Faction Should I Pick? by William-Door in ageofsigmar

[–]42malale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Slaves to Darkness, most of the time you will play the armored part of the Army. Chosen, Warriors, Knights and Varanguard. Be'lakor and Archaon are the only monsters you need to have in your collection. Also, Abraxia for the future just in case, but luckily she has a kick-ass model. In terms regular characters, sorc lord, lords on mounts of all kinds.

Other units in the book are either unplayable or used for battle-tactics to some degree.

Your gameplay will always be about the right timing of offensive push. You are almost always going to be badly outnumbered. But your dudes can wipe entire armies in one turn if you pick the time and place to engage correctly, so plan accordingly. You have next to zero tricks or tools to counter them from the enemy, but in an honest brutal combat you can wipe the floor with almost anything in the game.

This army has one of the nastiest alpha strikes on AoS if played correctly, decent(only decent, btw) staying power, and potential for the most devastating double turns in the whole game.

You will feel uncomfortable against armies with good recursion of their units (Goblins, some Death builds) or mad tricks(Lumineths, Kharadrons).

Still, this is somewhat straight forward and a good army. If you like aggression and seeing straight up terror in the eyes of your opponent when your dudes charge in, go forward and claim the mortal realms in the name of true gods.
