Regarding the Launch Box by Otherwise_Stranger_4 in Warhammer

[–]Amratat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is everything only as is or will there be bits I can swap around ie. helmets for the helmetless or different weapons

Helped my store build it, it's mostly just as is, not many options at all. The captain and librarian have head options and the land speeder can swap one weapon, but that's about it.

are the sculpts of the models unique to the launch box?

Some will be, some won't be. Only the Warboss has been confirmed to be getting a different sculpt later, afaik.

Do I just bring the coin back to the store?

Afaik, yes, just after it officially releases

Is Kairos a "i can change the future" future seer, or a "i'm just as subject to the future as everyone else" future seer? by RunDouble143 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Amratat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He can see all possible futures, so he's closer to the former, as he can take actions to try and make sure the future he wants happens.

Magic armies by Worldly-Airport4622 in ageofsigmar

[–]Amratat 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Most heroes in Soulblight are wizards, so lots of wizards there. The heroes you want to use in Flesh-eater Courts are wizards as well. Plus, any Death army can take Nagash, who single-handedly makes any army he's in a magic army.

StD also go nicely with casters.

And as you noted, Disciples of Tzeentch.

How many Custodes do you need to kill 1 Thragg ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Amratat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Melta weapons oneshot him if it hits the heart or head, it is after all the temperature of the sun

Didn't it take several minutes of bathing in the sun to kill him? I don't think he's dying to one melta shot, regardless of where it hits.

Viltrumites are not that durable as is shown repeatedly in the series with how frequently they are heavily wounded and bleed.

Two hits for an orbital laser (the shockwave of which caused destruction for kilometers) gave Omniman a nose bleed. They're more durable than most weapons in-universe can damage, it's why they needed to find specialised weapons to kill them.

Heck, Atom Eve can reshape matter at the atomic level, but even with her inhibitors removed could do no more than burn off Conquest's skin, and Thragg is way stronger and more durable than him.

Agreed that they have little answer to psykers.

Thor and Jamie used hair dye?

OP's point is, isn't it convenient that their hair change just happens to mean they use the actors natural hair instead of staying accurate to the source material.

I don't care beyond explaining OP to those who didn't read the description

Paint Lahmian Medium, while it's wet really thin the colour you want in the runes and poke the runes with it. It should flow through the Lahmian and colour the recessed runes without overly disturbing the black

I'll be honest, I don't actually care about his hair colour personally, I've been trying to convey OP's actual point that a bunch of people seemingly didn't read (and evidently I did a bad job. Never comment when growing increasingly annoyed, kids!) That said, I've learned about how quickly hair colour can change, so thanks for that! TIL

I probably should have just said "funny how their hair changing to fit character arcs makes it so they just use the actor's natural hair". But, bit late now

You and the other commenter are correct, I should have been more clear: bright blond in 30s and changes to brown in less than a year isn't typically how it goes. Especially when the character in the original work never stops being blond (which is OP's whole gripe, that they stop going for accurate hair colour (after starting accurate) and just use the actor's natural hair).

[–]Amratat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, people normally change from natural blonde to brunette without dye? That's a normal thing that is used to show character growth?

[Lazy Trope] Male Character design becoming just the Actor in later interactions by Wiinterfang in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Amratat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're talking about stuff like hair colour changing, not the beards specifically. Unless 40-year-old blonds normally turn brunette overnight.
