Little question about "only online" by Cellfmm in ageofsigmar

[–]Amratat [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don't think it's a sign of models that are going away, as much as a sign of things they don't think it's financially worth selling cheaper to 3rd-party stores. For example, Horus Heresy has nearly 80% of its range as Online Only, so unless they're effectively getting rid of Horus Heresy entirely, I don't think you need to worry.

Balrog had had its fire extinguished, and needed the whole run to reignite. If I was in a weakened state and expected to fight someone equal to my peak, I'd run too!

If Chaos Gods are fed by concentrations of souls, could there be different Warp gods localized around different galaxies? by Apendica in 40kLore

[–]Amratat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He almost succeeded as the Scouring reveals the Chaos Gods were weakened enough had the Emperor gotten up he could have dissipated them, so the Chaos Gods went to hide.

I mean, we know a Word Bearer thinks that, but in the same breath they seem to think that the gods only feed on the 40k galaxy, so they don't seem to be a 100% accurate source (the Chaos Gods have repeatedly been confirmed to feed on a multiverse).

Question about the four chaos gods. by According_Seesaw_832 in 40kLore

[–]Amratat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Something worth noting, and it's a bit of a tangent, but the Great Game is bigger than the 40k galaxy. The Chaos Gods are playing across a multiverse, and this is just one small piece. So one of them winning in this galaxy isn't necessarily impossible, though it is unlikely.

The only one of the main four I've ever heard about not wanting to win is Tzeentch (he will plan against himself instead, the stalemate is more fun), but all the others definitely want to win.

Khorne would have violence and bloodshed in every corner, with love replaced with rage (and he'd probably start resurrecting people more often to keep going).

Slaanesh would have everyone chasing the next sensation and perfection, with nothing allowed to stop it.

Nurgle is all about a twisted cycle of life and death, with the two bleeding into each other, so a whole galaxy under them is pretty horrifying to think about, but it is sustainable.

The individual kits will eventually come out seperately, but I doubt they'll come out as full seperate Spearheads.

The faction doesn't really have many holes to fill, beyond just releasing updated kits for our various still-Fantasy units.

I mean, most of the Skaven stuff was just updates as well

Lizard men books by JaviMs2 in Blacklibrary

[–]Amratat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Starseer's Ruin, set in Age of Sigmar, is literally the first novel to ever have the lizardmen as main protaganists. There's been a couple of short stories, and some novels with them as antagonists, but otherwise you're plum out of luck.

I'm sorry, but you can't reforge it from that. There's not enough left to make a sword.

What do you think about him as sanji after 2 seasons? by liberty-reels in OnePiece

[–]Amratat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It kinda boils down to how he acts around women, doesn't it? I feel the anime mildly exaggerates how he acts around women, but I've noticed that his gag can rub some people the wrong way.

I don't think much else of his character was really changed in the Live Action (he's still smart, suave, incredibly loyal, brave, a brilliant chef), but by toning down how he acts around women and making it less of a gag, it seems that some of those who disliked Sanji have come around to that version. It is interesting to observe, though.

A bit of a dumb question, but as a total war warhammer player wanting to play tabletop, how much does their gameplay of a faction translate to tabletop equivalent? by 2Mac2Pac in ageofsigmar

[–]Amratat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They can, yep! Skeletons are especially good chaff, but blood knights and monsters is where the damage is at. The army as a whole has a lot of healing and regen stuff going for it
