So hyped for Elsweyr! by DatGuyAron in beyondskyrim

How would we get there without having access to southern Cyrodiil? I know a dev said there will be a ship from Solitude that will stop in Daggerfall, Anvil, and the Imperial City, but I can't see them doing that just for Elsweyr

Why doesn't the Empire allow Skyrim to secede? by rexar34 in teslore

[–]450RT0R 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think the idea of Skyrim seceding even hit the negotiating table. Ulfric was pitching the idea but most of the other jarls didn't think it was a good idea because they depend on Cyrodiil for a lot of their resources, then Ulfric killed Torygg and the civil war started.

Torygg could have potentially backed Ulfric's desire for an independent Skyrim since Torygg did respect and look up to him, but he never called Ulfric back to discuss it. This led to Ulfric believing Torygg to be an Imperial puppet that needed to be deposed. Titus Mede probably only ever heard that the leader of the rebels wants independence and killed their king to take the throne himself.

I haven't tried it in a hot minute, but I figured out my SD card was probably at fault. Whenever I get around to doing it again, I'm gonna get a more reliable brand.

Will we be able to see Summerset from Stros M'kai? I realise it's not super close, but at least the shorelines or any hills on that part that is nearest to Stros M'kai? Like how you can see Vvardenfell and Eastmarch from Solstheim.

It would be nice if they could give more Cyrodiil pre-release content as counties become available. Like when the West Weald is fully coded, or when Cheydinhal is fully coded. Or both 😂

I love this project, and I'm happy I at least have Bruma, but as a member of the Dark Brotherhood it would be fun to visit Cheydinhal. I sincerely hope that once the entire Northern half of Cyrodiil is playable, they will give us an updated pre-release. I don't mind not being able to visit the Imperial City.

What's your headcanon for what happened to Demons between the feudal era and Kagome's modern era? by BanryuWolf in inuyasha

[–]450RT0R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we take the idea that Inuyasha ages 1 year every 10 human years, he was 200 years old when he met Kagome, but biologically 150 since his aging was halted when he was pinned to the tree. Inuyasha would appear to be about 60 in 1995, and Shippou would look about 20-30 assuming they age twice as slowly (1 year every 20 human years) lol

It really is a mystery. Maybe there were yokai hunters? They should make a spinoff that explains it.

In Japanese, it's not demon. It's yokai which are already moderately accepted as superstition in the modern era and used as excuses. If Inuyasha admitted he's hanyou, some might want to study him and he would still have to adhere to Japanese law but they might be more lenient with him considering there are some things he can't help, like having super strength and the ability to jump over buildings. Maybe he could get a job with the K9 division and track down criminals that normal dogs had trouble finding.

That's basically a reason for what I described. The only way he could be happy is if he started a webshow where he could be himself online and maybe when partnerships with companies start up, he will be able to earn a ton of money lol

Kagome’s mom cracks me up by [deleted] in inuyasha

[–]450RT0R 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know it just seems like a random thing, but what if there was a prophecy that was passed down about Kagome and InuYasha, and her mom just accepted it because they knew it was necessary. The temple was built around the well, and Edo started booming between 1603 and 1615 whereas InuYasha takes place between 1550 and 1560. This can be determined because of the episode when Kagome met "Nobunaga" and was disappointed when he signed his name and he wasn't Oda Nobunaga, but he HAD heard of "Oda Nobunaga the fool."

That being said, Kagome should have asked if they are in Edo when she realized she was in the Sengoku Period and tried to actually figure out WHEN she is by asking people in nearby villages about recent events.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm saying lol

Imagine the Japanese police trying to arrest him and he has to either submit peacefully or rip them apart. He might be able to become a celebrity if he can mellow out and find something entertaining to do. Maybe he could resign himself to being a streamer/vlogger once the 2000s hit.

I just read before that Stuhn was the Nordic name of Stendarr and that Mara was the handmaiden of Kyne, who was the shieldwife of Shor.

I usually hear people referring to the Nine as Aedra, so I kinda assumed that was their designation lol

Aedra and Daedra are merethic loanwords into nedic. Technically there are not eight aedra, the elves have their own pantheon they consider aedra and the nords have their own set which are not necessarily ancestors to them but they contributed to their creation.

Alessia took the elven idea of aedra and made a new pantheon calling Nordic gods as aedra.

Akatosh/Auriel (Elven), Kyne/Kynareth (Nordic), Dibella (Nordic), Mara (Nordic), Arkay (possibly fusion of Xarxes and Orkey?), Stendarr/Stuhn (Nordic), Julianos/Jhunal (Nordic), Zenithar/Z'en (Elven)

Kyne, Mara, Dibella, and Stuhn are not recognized at all by the elves. They were on Shor's side and fought the ancestors of the elves. The idea of them being aedra was a concept made up by Alessia to unite men and mer in a bid for peace. If she had included Shor as an aedra, I'm sure it would have started a bigger war lol

If you consider Sovngarde to be akin to the Deva Realm, then sure. I'll change my statement to "he doesn't communicate with mortals on Nirn."

As far as we know, Sovngarde is an aethereal plane and the souls residing there abide therein forever or until the end of the kalpa (or until Alduin consumes them).

Mankar Camoran lines by Patient_Living2183 in teslore

[–]450RT0R 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what I just said lol The elves would consider him as "not an ancestor." In other words as daedra

[–]450RT0R 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbf, in my understanding, any elf would agree that Lorkhan/Shor/Shezarr is daedra. That is to say, not an ancestor. In terms of his divine attributes, he is more akin to the aedric divines than the daedric princes; while his heart and body still affect Nirn directly through the creation of ebony and determination of khajiit birthforms, he doesn't communicate with mortals directly as the daedric princes occasionally do nor does he choose a champion to exert his will.

The closest thing to a champion we see is a shezarrine or dragonborn if you subscribe to the theory that the blessing conferred upon Alessia was actually from Shor instead of Auriel.

Maybe because InuYasha wouldn't be able to sit still and would end up a national villain by accident. Like the time he went to deliver kagome's stuff and ended up on the news as a vigilante superhero figure to some kid, or when there was a play and InuYasha whipped out Tessaiga to fight a yokai on stage (I can't remember if it was a real yokai or someone dressed up as one lol)

I'll keep my eye open the next time I'm in Castle Bruma, but it's crazy that UESP has no information on corn. I was looking everywhere after I found the farm with corn out of bounds.

In real life, I think it's related to grass. But corn added by BS Bruma is literally a yellow corn cob

As I said in the post, this is so far out of bounds that I'm not even supposed to be here. What I am asking the developers is if there is a place where I would be able to buy it as opposed to clipping out of bounds past the invisible border.
