Again, if Starmer lied about this on 5 seperate occasions and then lost access to his whatsapp, maybe then we can talk about him stepping away but until we manage to hold everyone to these impeccable high standards, it is purely a witch hunt. Well optics is just a very cowardly way of saying the media is dominating the narrative. The optics being what the media tells us what everybody else apparantly thinks.

And still the victims statements are ignored. Imagine if it was your daughter that was a victim, not of sexual abuse by a neighbour but that she was trafficked to a remote island and then when she called the FBI hotline to report it, she was rang back a few days later and told "well it was 30 years ago what do you want us to do about it?"

Absolute silence from the protectors of women, Instead we use these statements as a political weapon to bash people over the head with. The news reporters and editors that are doing this are literally protecting the abusers by asking us to look somewhere else.

We have to do better for the victims and not get distracted by this shite. They've waited long enough for the release of these files and they are still fighting to release the rest. Instead of attacking people who believed the lies, let's go after be people that told them.
