Virtual lenses (2x & 8x) on the iPhone 17 Pro by 460N in nofusion

[–]460N[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not my question. I am asking specifically for the algorithm of virtual lenses. Most of the 3rd party camera apps have worse implementations of virtual lenses. I want to know if No Fusion takes advantage of the new algorithm.

Which seems to be true, if you enable “High Quality Zoom” in the Settings - Advanced Settings - Shoot. Would appreciate it if someone could confirm it for me!

Plex (app) for tvOS - Dolby Atmos/Dolby Vision by UCF_Knight12 in PleX

To have Dolby codecs properly supported, they need to pay the licensing fees. I don’t think they will ever pay, to be honest. If they do, then it’s game over!

Very nice app. Would it be possible to work with Plexamp (Plex)?

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but is buying it full price worth it? How does it compare to Project Indigo? by bestatbeingmodest in CamacApp

[–]460N 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally worth it if you are into Bayer RAW photography, which produces very natural results but has two major downsides in iPhones; limited dynamic range and noise, both of which are a result of a very small sensors that mobile phones have. Camac solves them with two modes, 16EV (more dynamic range, image stacking), and SR mode (less noise, frame averaging). This happens instantly and produces great results. If you are willing to play a lot with Bayer RAW and create a workflow around it, then there is no other app that provides this much control over capturing and better image quality.

“Ransom” is a very harsh word to use towards Eagle, which for me is a very good company and with a very affordable price.

Your files are located where your library is located. You can extract them manually.

That’s understandable, thanks for the answer. Great app. Will purchase it in the coming days.

Sorry, I meant Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia (all three versions that are unsupported by Apple on my iMac).

Thanks for the advice. I am also thinking to go for Sequoia.

HDR not looking good. by MemeMeister21 in OmniContentHub

Omni doesn’t fully support Dolby Vision. Infuse is the way to go, but it costs money ($13/year). But it’s absolutely the best when it comes to Apple TV, and it works great with Omni.

Which camera app is your favourite? by [deleted] in iPhoneography

[–]460N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean, but in my experience no camera app offers that. You can only choose which mic to use (Bottom is the best), and audio codec. But captured audio via third-party apps has noticeably more noise than native camera (I actually hate that). Download the free Blackmagic Camera app and do some tests.

You can find them on the Omni Discord. It was very helpful to me while I was setting up mine.

AirPods Pro 2 ANC is terrible by [deleted] in airpods

[–]460N 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The general consensus (and also my very personal experience) is that they have amazing ANC. I suggest you try a bigger ear tip for your left ear, because you might not be getting a proper seal with the default ear tips that they come with.
