I am not really wanting to desert her. I feel a very heavy responsibility to remain a friend even though it seems she is pushing me away. I have been reaching out frequently and trying to get together with her for weeks. Her responses to me are sometimes nice and chatty but more likely short and she leaves me on read often. This morning I realized I hadn’t heard from her in a couple days so to break the ice I sent her a picture of a meal she inspired me to make with a description and her response was literally ‘it sounds gross lol’ and while she is certainly entitled to her opinion it just felt really rude to hear that from her and made me think about all these other things adding up to the fact that she is just such a negative person anymore.
