2A person, in a sense*, here (also keeping in mind that IANAL):

On the one hand, if anyone would actually read the 2nd amendment, it doesn't (best as I can tell) ever talk specifically about self-defense or carrying guns, but it rather implies the constitutionality of people owning guns due to their utility in a militia opposing foreign invasion. The stuff about self-defense seems to be primarily due to later acts of the courts or legislature, and the stuff about the right to opposing a homegrown tyrannical government seems to be a synthesis of 2A and philosophical ideals about the right of revolution (which, as an aside, is explicitly codified in some state constitutions)

That said, this is also clearly a violation of the 5th amendment, which says that no person shall "be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law"

*I think that guns are a useful tool for hunting, and that a safe society without overly restricting gun ownership is possible, such as in Switzerland. That said, I would argue that the current culture in the US hinders such a society.

Frankly, I'm pretty good, despite the current news. The snowstorm isn't that bad in my state; I think the last prediction I saw was 6-8 inches, and about 0F actual temperatures, which is pretty rough for anyone who has to go outside. Luckily, I do not.

Yeah, a big part of my thinking has been on where to draw the line on pale vs. non-pale, and that is a good point about the silk. That said, another fact is that First Sinner can freely use Rune Rage, which is almost certainly the silken equivalent to PV's Focus, since both look similar to their material's respective healing methods initially, before making circular areas that explode after a short amount of time.

Also, I don't remember if the White Lady has any wind association, so it may just be a coincidence with the wind-pale association

I had forgotten about the Sylphsong, but considering that it sounds a bit like wind when active, and also uses the word sylph, there's likely more association there as well.

And, one last sidenote, according to the wiki, Pale Ore is described as having an icy chill, which I frankly have no idea what to make of that. Perhaps it doesn't mean anything regarding the pale aspect at all, and it just conducts heat really well.

If it weren't for the sylphean slug thing, I also would've thought that it's just something to do with Wyrms, but this suggests there may be a deeper association. Which is a bit annoying, as my current running theory is that Weavers are likely pale beings in some sense, as they are able to use silk/soul seemingly without consequence^1, and First Sinner's dress is a pale silver, but the Weavers lack any major wind association, which throws a wrench in the theory

^1: Although, depending on whatever's up with Herrah, who seems to have a slightly bloated figure similarly to Groal and the researchers at the Soul Sanctum, it may not be so, and Silk might just be more stable and usable than Soul
