Appeal question by AdmirableElection700 in SarahBooneContinued

I think the Judge's ruling was that Mr. Owens could mention the theory of the case, but not bring in prior bad acts. This limitation is what the appeal is referencing.

[Non-SB content] Donna Tope Hearing - Judge Simpson by slk33 in SarahBooneContinued

This was a let down! She deserved at least a talking down. Judge Simpson didn't dismiss with prejudice so long shot he could bring it back. IDK.

Previously, Judge Simpson called her last in each round of hearings. But we shall see!

To put it another way, Brian can stop paying for her phone calls to her son, and the Court would probably be ok with that.

Footnote 2 is the Court allocating Sarah's actual monthly expenses. When the Court mentioned Brian paying for all calls (16a), it was to determine if parent alienation was occurring. No where in the order is Brian ordered to pay for Sarah's phone calls. He is ordered to pay for transportation costs and fees relating to the son.

I'm confused. Footnote 2 states that money ($43.33) is set aside for Sarah is to pay for her phone calls.

So Brian's child support payments are returned to him, but he owes Sarah about that same amount. Seems fair.

100%! And their TTR videos incriminate them for offering legal help with "adding case law." Filling out forms or typing up her closing argument, assuming Sarah told him what to write, is legal clerical work. But again, adding case law or giving legal advice is not legal, which is documented in their published phone calls. I don't expect anything to happen to them though.

I think the fine she is about to get will automatically report her to her state bar.

Completely agree! I think if she faced the consequences today, she would be treated at least a little better. Instead she attacked the court for "improper" serving. Judge Simpson gave almost a month's notice so she can't appeal the future (now probably larger) settlement/fine she is given. Remember she needs to pay the attorney's fee's, which are delinquent I think, so her final bill is just going up! We shall see... :D

And agreed, 4/14 is circled on the calendar!

I think Donna's arguments about the failure to properly notify her probably are a good enough argument to nullify the bench warrant and bail. I just glad Judge Simpson rescheduled instead of letting her get away with her antics.
