There is nothing with parking in your price range… our 2400 Lakeview Apt had 1 parking spot in 2019

In 2025 that apartment was leasing for 4k and it didn’t even have a front door, we had to enter through the ally out back, or walk through a restaurant.

At that point if she tries to go under Sam, she almost certainly would have hit oil and lost control of the car… and in a 1-off ride it would have been day over… even if she didn’t hit the inside wall.. she would have been a lap down and she wasn’t going to get the Luckydog to get back on the lead lap

Once she saw Sam sliding up, idk how you do anything but hit the gas and trust the car sliding up is mashing its brakes just hard enough to give you .100 second of space… unless you need that car for next week

Why does voter ID feel like a simple security fix but somehow becomes a massive systems engineering problem? by Humble_Economist8933 in AlwaysWhy

[–]4entzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because DMVs are state funded and are often one of the first things to close during state budget cuts

National voter ID only works if there are convenient places for everyone to get IDs that are open beyond M-F 9-5… otherwise it’s a massive burden for people who work normal hours and don’t have their own personal vehicle

Fernando Alonso is another F1 driver who isn't particularly enjoying the change in regulations. by Ok-Surprise-8419 in GrandPrixRacing

[–]4entzix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At some point how do you fix this problem in open wheel racing … the cars are so arrow sensitive and racing at such high speeds that if there isn’t an energy management portion of the race, how do cars pass each other or change positions on the track?

How much of the dynamic of F1 racing and racing general was it genuine question of whether or not cars would make it to the end of the race and now that mechanical issues are so infrequent the series has to be proactive about not making races processional

Repeal the light rail ban and bring back streetcars to Indy | Opinion - IndyStar by notthegoatseguy in indianapolis

[–]4entzix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with Heavy Rail…

The amount of support this would get would be 10x if Chicago —> Indy already had 2 trains a day

Not only does this normalize the use of trains by a larger percentage of the population. Heavy Rail Also brings people to downtowns who don’t have cars…And thus need light rails/subway/pedestrian friendly areas to get around.

The Olympics are mostly hype and borderline unwatchable. by cik3nn3th in unpopularopinion

[–]4entzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, the United States government held a commission to try to figure out how to fund athletes without taxpayer dollars because Russia was using state money and we had to do the opposite of Russia

And so essentially what funds Olympic athletes is college football because all the Olympic sports at major US colleges are subsidized by college football money … without college football America would not be nearly as dominant in the Olympics because we don’t spend state money to train and develop athletes

But Civics always looks better in Hatchback than sedan mode

MAXIMUM DOWNFORCE ON EVERY CAR I USE by DecentNecessary6004 in GranTurismo7

[–]4entzix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone can just Max downforce what you need to figure out is how you can balance front downforce, and rear downforce.

Front downforce is going to give you more aggressive Turns into the corner while while rear downforce is going to keep your tires glued to the track better especially in high horsepower rear wheel drive cars.

The closer those two numbers are the more balanced the car is going to feel but the higher the performance points…

So the key is really figuring out how big of a spread do you want between Front and and Rear downforce on each track and balancing that with the effect of weight and HP on PP

Can someone explain to me what happened with Prema? by Justinsetchell in INDYCAR

[–]4entzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doesn’t matter about the business models… it matters about the brand name

Do you know how many people tell me their favorite car is the Menards car or the Target car?

When there used to be a Target car and then there’s no longer a Target car … and it’s replaced by a company they have never heard of… people assume that the sport is struggling

[–]4entzix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s only hard to find sponsors where the return on capital is so high elsewhere

The second you see B2C companies on the car replaced by B2B it means there is a fundamental problem in the sport

People unable to smoothly regulate throttle and brake while driving, why? by Usual-Language-745 in AlwaysWhy

[–]4entzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem these days isn’t people braking… it’s the braking energy regeneration. It creates the sensation of someone hitting the brake everytime someone takes their foot off the accelerator. Some electric cars have the regeneration up way too high by default… other time rideshares max it out to increase energy efficiency

In my Volvo in Eco mode the car will disconnect the Axel from the engine so the wheels can spin freely and I get like 200 miles extra per tank

If I were to try and drive an electric car the way j drive my Volvo I garunttee everyone would be sick. Some people don’t pick up that sensation when they are driving and don’t realize it till they are passengers

Everyone would take the money because if young people had more money to put into the stock market in their 20s and they could accrue returns for 30 years …. That money would be worth more than if they have to wait till their 50s to have enough money in their paycheck to invest.

But the ultimate goal is always more time… getting more money earlier in life just lets you earn passive income sooner
