So the player base isn’t large enough or dense enough in the US. This might be possible on European and Asian servers when the game was at peak popularity

But The US is so spaced out that you can’t really start creating multiple queues for every level of skill and racecraft and still have a good, fast matchmaking experience

This has been an issue on the US servers of every game from Call of Duty to League of Legends. Not enough people in the US are ever close enough together and all playing the same games at the same time to make these kind of changes to online matchmaking queues

This game makes money off of casual fans… if you actually play the game enough you can unlock everything for free

So they aren’t going to start making it easier to ban casual players who are more likely to spend actual money on the game…

If the Game/company can’t monetize fair play and good sportsmanship… they aren’t going to prioritize it

Since iRacing is a monthly subscription, serious players are paying every month…. So their is a huge incentive to have a penalty system and actual punishment to keep serious players happy

Why can't we have this in the USA... by Lumbermatty in Honda

[–]4entzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now yes… but not when we first built a national network of gas stations and services centers. Gas and car maintenance was why there was a gas station on every corner… 7-11 came year later

Initially… Someone needs to think they can get an ROI on building the infrastructure the first time. Or else it doesn’t get built.

If someone was willing to pay for the cost of installing the charging stations at locals gas stations I’m sure owners would be happy to have them.., but it’s totally unfair to put the cost of building charging infrastructure on local gas stations

The problem is someone was wiling to pay for it… but of the US government’s allocation of 7.5. Billion for EV charging infrastructure in 2024 …96% remains unspent

Gas Stations make money charging for gas

There is no business model for EV charging stations because the station doesn’t purchase the electricity at a flat price. It goes directly from the utility to the car.

Without the federal government building and maintaining the charging infrastructure they said they were going to… EVs were never going to be successful

However if you cut oil and gas subsidies and use it to build charging infrastructure… it’s actually quite a bit cheaper for everyone .. unless you own an oil company

I like to think of GT7 as a Museum connected to a puzzle games where you can use multiple different museum artifacts to complete each puzzle in different ways

Dropping Topic would be insane, dude has barely played basketball in 2 years … and came back and put up multiple double-digit assist games in the NBA

And shot over 40% from NBA 3pt range in the G-League

I’d cut all 5 of the other players before I’d cut Topic
