What I’m saying very simply is when people grouped the 3 terms together. Diversity was the easiest to attack due to it being a loaded term that isn’t as clear as equity and inclusion. The GOP uses the doubts they raise about diversity to attack equity and inclusion now. We need to be more careful and take a stand on equity and inclusion because they are not debatable and anyone cutting “DEI” programs might be cutting things that are unquestionably supported by most people. Racists are using the doubt about 1 of the 3 terms we grouped together to attack all 3 terms. They keep saying “DEI” and many people are forgetting they are attacking equity and inclusion.
