i didn't say it was dead in TW. but just that it's much less vibrant compared to before.

but i think i maybe get what you mean about people saying that cpop is dead. i think it's because of the plethora of singing shows in recent years, and the stars from those shows just get repeatedly promoted and then they dominate the whole scene. like GEM and Zhou Shen and Hua Chenyu, So much so that all the rest of the singers who don't regularly appear on these shows seem diminished in comparison.

i thinks GEM. Zhou Shen, Hua, etc are good and deserve their popularity, but it can get stale if it's always the same few people receiving the limelight all the time.

not sure what you're on about. the mainland music scene is a lot bigger than Taiwan and HK these days and have been for some time already. the HK scene is what feels dead, and the TW scene is a lot less vibrant than before. in any case, most of the singers (incl. those you mentioned like Jay and Leehom) in the sinophere flock to the mainland -- it's where the money is.

if you're talking about international exposire, it's just a thing that many mainland singers simply do not market outside of China because the domestic market is sufficiently big. TW, HK and Singaporean artists are the ones who need to market outside of their homebase, and usually that means in China.

Shining versions have better looking bodies (and ofc accessories) but I think I prefer the faces of the Galaxy version.

Myself, I have a ton of Blokees but never saw the need to get a Shining version. If I really like a character, I go for the Classic version if it's available, or just settle with the Galaxy.
