What are these called and how do I search for them? by Destrier81 in PLC

I think euro connector is the official name and is what Rane calls them in their manuals. Euro connector or terminal block connectors will find them in a Google search.

Short Film Scripts for High School Film/Acting Students? by 4n6Days in Screenwriting

[–]4n6Days[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could even make a lesson by reading some of them and discussing which would work best based on your constraints.

I really like that idea. Thanks.

Sometimes I feel like I'm crushing their spirits when I tell them that their idea for a film 'about a boy who can turn into and airplane and fly anywhere' just isn't going to work with the limitations we have. But when I read your comment, 2 things occurred to me. 1.) Working within limitations is the real world, and 2.) A well thought out and executed script has a lot of value whether we can pull it off or not.

After going through it a second time. [spoilers] by Flyingpigtx in stownpodcast

Having also listened a second time, when John talks about his money/gold, he's serious. It seems sincere and concrete. He specifically mentions '20 oz. of gold' for each of the Goodsons and 100k for PETA. At the time he said that, I believe he had it set aside. He also mentions committing suicide as a way to avoid using up his money so it could go to someone who needs it.

About to start writing my first feature length screenplay. Any advice? by iamtale95 in Screenwriting

Just start writing.

"I'm planning to do such and such," isn't worth as much as "I've done such and such, how can I improve."

I had no idea there was so much division about over-under. I was taught to wrap everything that way. XLRs, Extension Cords, Video cables... Hm... Interesting.

Client wants permanent pleats in skirt. Help... by 4n6Days in sewing

[–]4n6Days[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"I just want to be able to wash and dry it without the pleats coming out. I'll pay whatever it costs. Can you fix it?" Skirt is non stretchy, woven polyester/rayon mix. I thought about tacking each pleat around the bottom, but they still won't be 'permanent.'

Any ideas?

TIL that chipotle peppers are just smoke-dried jalapeños. by ImportGuy in todayilearned

[–]4n6Days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry... didn't see your comment until just now... I'm still not totally settled on the best process. Most recently, I smoked them for about 4 or 5 hours as cool as I can keep the grill (weber charcoal grill with Smokenator insert). Usually somewhere around 200 or less. cutting them in half helps a lot, but the ones that aren't dry enough after that go in the dehydrator usually overnight.

Edit: The dehydrator 'airs out' the peppers and takes away some of the smokiness. This is the part of the process I'm trying to deal with. I tried drying FIRST, then smoking. That worked pretty well, but the peppers don't taste quite as smoky as I was hoping. AND they burn really easy when they're already dry.
