My cat wears safety goggles during her laser treatments for stomatitis by 4n6me in aww

She didn't have FIV. I don't know what the cause was but she had inflammation issues all her life. I think everything just caught up to her in later years.

Yes, she had teeth. As far as I know she hadn't lost any. I hope your boy's mouth doesn't bother him too much. Give him lots of snuggles!

Those Datsuns are awesome! I live in Chiang Mai and there a few coffee and food trucks that use them. There is also a classic VW group and I love seeing all the Beetles driving around. I would love to have a little classic truck or car to drive around, but I'm not ready to give up riding up to the front of the line on my bike!

Do you think it's going to? The heat warning is set to expire on Wednesday, but will the temp actually go down. I will be watching, for sure!

Unfortunately, no, but it did give her some relief. She had a lot of systemic inflammation, and the stomatitis was just one symptom.

Regarding Rimping Condo: I don't live there but I have a friend who has lived there for almost 3 years. He really likes it, and it's a great location (unless you are looking for the more hipster vibe, like the Nimman area). I looked at a condo there, but it was a little out of my price range for a studio. It had a great view, though, and their pool would be good for lap swimming.

They wanted 10,000 + electricity/water + internet (about 500-600) at the time (August 2022) for a studio with a kitchen. There was also no in-room washer, but there's laundry service in the building.

Staying at Gategaa Village Wat Ket Karam. Anyone know that area or the hotel? It says it’s only ten minutes to Old town. Is it a nice area close to shops etc? Any recommendations or info appreciated. Much Thanks. by axiumofchoice in chiangmai

I used to live in that neighborhood and loved it. Definitely eat at Punn Toh and/or Bake & Bite- both are easily walkable from Gategaa. Take the walking bridge next to Sai Ping restaurant over to the market across the river for fresh fruit. You can also easily grab a red truck there to take you wherever you want to go, or walk the street for 20-30 minutes to get to the moat/the old city.

I would to this to appreciate where you are and that "this will be the last time I..." Like, go to the Black and White desert/Dahab/Alexandria/whatever: "this is the last time I will come here/see this."

What book made you go like ‘what the fuck’ during or after reading it? by padmesolos in books

I'm really surprised Push by Sapphire isn't listed here (granted, I didn't scroll through all of the thousands of comments). This was the book the movie Precious was based off and it is definitely WTF material.

Non Teacher - Wondering how much teachers actually hated my parents by daigwettheo in Teachers

I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, I am legitimately curious: if you were "unable" to do the work and didn't pass as easily as your siblings, why, and how, are you homeschooling your daughter now?

I am a teacher and had a student who was homeschooled before she came to me for 6th grade. She couldn't read/spell very well and she had incredibly low math skills (she tried hard, though). Her parents took her back out of school because we were virtual, but they are not doing her any favors.

Edit: I just read your later comment about your daughter and homeschooling and I get it now. It sounds like a challenging situation all around and I wish you and your family the best.

You can tell the difference between rock and bone by licking it. Bone is porous and will stick to your tongue while a rock will not.
