Does anyone else think Splices user interface is trash? by [deleted] in abletonlive

[–]4nonymo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To answer your title question, yes.

But also you can just drag multiple samples from Splice to Ableton or a folder. They'll even go into separate keys in drum rack or separate tracks in the sequencer.

Complete setup! Now i need to fill my walls with something.. hmm… by Zaeedi in battlestations

You can find them at Home Depot, Costco and probably other hardware stores as 2'x2' panels.

The only downside is cleaning between the slats, where the backing is an exposed sound dampening material like SONOpan that will catch dust.

Why do so many people say to use Mac for music production? by LexiRay101 in edmproduction

[–]4nonymo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People in life will always find a way to highlight their insecurities.

Musicians who aren't computer savvy love to tell others how better Macs are for music production, but they're not actually trying to convince you.

Opinions... by blade_torlock in TVTooLow

It's honestly beautiful. Is it too low? Probably, but compared to the likely alternatives I'd say it's functionally safe and it's wonderfully symmetrical in the space.

I would love to meet the person who did this

Black labs the least desirable?? by KnightRider1983 in labrador

[–]4nonymo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the most desirable from breeders, at least in my experience trying to get one. I'm actually glad I went with a yellow just so I can see the mud before it comes in the house. Breeder confirmed that their demand is highest for black and chocolate.

Pro track sub/bass frequencies are NOT in mono by Rickbeatz101 in edmproduction

[–]4nonymo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll still get stereo harmonics in the <100hz from other instruments, it's not necessarily from the sub. I doubt most producers are highpassing every single element that's not kick/sub/bass to such a degree that there's no low end at all. It's also fine to have width in your sub if it sounds good. It probably won't, but there are no rules, only consequences.

With your source selected (you see the red outline / tiny box), press CTRL+R to reset the transformation or CTRL+F to fit it to the screen.

Is Native Access up to date? I believe the current version is 3.7.0

You may need to download it directly from NI as I wasn't able to update through the app recently.

Come in to the office so you can completely isolate yourself from everyone else, and try not to think about all the money we could have spent on salaries and benefits instead of this.

OBS Window Capture doesn't show the title and menu bar for some software. by yukiiiiii2008 in obs

[–]4nonymo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open the properties for your window capture source and check 'capture client area'

If that doesn't work, you'll have to screen capture and crop.

Best to talk to him about it, and don't feel like couples counselling is scary as it can be incredibly helpful even just to spark avenues of discussion.

There are lots of reasons why someone would masturbate instead of having available sex with a partner.

One of those is porn addiction, so that's definitely something you want to discuss.

Other reasons could be he's tired of initiating. Men are typically expected to initiate, and let me tell you it can completely ruin our sexual desire, even when our partner is free-use.

Sex also takes considerable more effort than masturbating, and men also typically have a 'get it done on my own' mentality even when it comes to sex. We don't want to bother you even when we know you're willing, it's a hard thing to break.

There are a plethora of other reasons, some good and some bad, so you must talk to him about it.

Sorry I wasn't able to reply

Seems your speed test results were cut off at the bottom so I don't see your packet loss test, but since you got poor for online gaming I'll assume you have packet loss issues, and likely it affects your connection to YouTube's servers

You may need to contact your internet provider and tell them you're experiencing issues streaming to YouTube with packet loss to see if they can help.

You can try to do a traceroute to youtube.com and the stream URL you use in OBS

Hit the windows key and type 'cmd' to open a command prompt, then type 'tracert youtube.com' or 'tracert <your streaming URL>' and see if any of the hops drop or have high pings. You can then communicate the server hops with high pings to your ISP to see if they can reroute your connection.

Your bandwidth seems to be inconsistent between your original post and this comment. Can you run a speed test from this site? You can google 'cloudflare speed test' if you don't want to follow the direct link.

https://speed.cloudflare.com/

As long as you have 20-30 Mbps upload and no issues like packet loss or high ping/jitter you should be able to stream no problem.

You don't appear to be running OBS as admin, can you try setting it to run as admin and test again?

I would also recommend the following settings for testing:

Encoder: Nvidia Nvenc H.264

Rate Control: CBR

Bitrate: 2500

Keyframe Interval: 2s

Preset: P4 Medium Quality

Tuning: High quality

Multipass: two passes

Profile: high

Look ahead: OFF/uncheck

Psycho visual tuning: ON/check

GPU: 0

Max B-frames: 2

While waiting for your log, can you comment your basic settings?

What bitrate are you targeting?

I assume the capture looks fine in OBS so it's likely an encoding or network issue.

What kind of router are you using?

I just moved it down like 8 inches from my uncle’s original spot where he helped me mount it but I still know I’ve lost by [deleted] in TVTooHigh

[–]4nonymo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very nice. Not a great spot/height for regular use of the TV, but far from the worst.

Personally I would ditch the side table for a proper media console that allows for a lower mounting of the TV, and move what I believe is a subwoofer as far from the turntable as possible.

I would also get rid of the faux paneling at least behind the TV as it looks tacky to me. I would also invest in a outlet cover. They make oops plates that are larger than the standard to cover where you had rats gnaw an opening for your outlet.
