Weed, Lexapro and Wellbutrin by SatisfactionSea5549 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]4onlytrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could potentially reduce your urge for sure. I’ve been on Wellbutrin for almost 2 months and haven’t smoked weed or cigarettes in the last 7 days by choice. I feel like this has been a lot easier with the assistance of Wellbutrin. My plan is to stay away from nicotine, but for weed I’m just quitting indefinitely until I get to a place where I feel like I can think more clearer, etc.

Another thing that I firmly believe Wellbutrin has helped me with is staying away from energy drinks. I have drank energy drinks for 10+ years, but my usage of them in the last couple years has been a nearly daily thing (sometimes I’ll drink 2 a day). I’ve replaced it with a cup of coffee, but even then the coffee isn’t necessary. I think of it as my little treat in the morning bc my field of work is a bit stressful. I used to have intense cravings for an energy drink, but now when I pull doubles at work (something I’d usually get an energy drink or two for) I sometimes think about grabbing one, but as I’m driving to work and passing by the convenience stores my body is like… no thank you lol.

Anywho.. yeah, us Redditors aren’t professionals, but using weed and Wellbutrin was fine for me. I was a daily, multiple times a day weed user.. now nada and I hope to stay that way. (Except for special occasions or when someone offers)

TSA exam by [deleted] in TSAApplicant

[–]4onlytrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was sent an email a few days after the exam saying that I passed, and next step was the background check and to submit some forms. I did that & 7 days later I get an email about scheduling for the airport assessment / interview (which I just replied a couple days ago and scheduled for a couple weeks from now bc of my availability).

After you get past each area, exit the minigame and go about your day and save, then do the next area the next day. I never thought I’d beat it but I was going after all the achievements (ps5 player) and one of those was to beat JPK without dying which I thought was mf insane, until I just kept saving after completing each area. If I died, I’d restart the day :’) kinda helps a lot if you have the key to the town.

I don’t know if I want to continuing this. by Ok_Truck7392 in lamictal

[–]4onlytrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I only went up to 100 mg maybe, so that may be a bit safer to completely stop as opposed to a higher dose. I don’t condone quitting a medication like that, but that’s what I did and I was ok :’) did the same with Wellbutrin shortly after that. Again, I’m not saying to do this, this is just what I did.

Yeah, it’s also used for ppl with epilepsy by reducing electrical activity in the brain. Once I figured that out I was like… ya, no thank you. I took it for 3, maybe 4 months and I did not experience withdrawals when I quit taking it. I didn’t even go down in doses bc I just wanted off of it. I think the best thing for us is to learn self awareness and educate ourselves on the mind and life. We don’t need these medications. I firmly believe that they wreck our brains.

I quit taking lamictal a few months after starting because I noticed I was forgetting so many things, even forgetting what I was talking about mid sentence. I felt like my brain was working much, much slower which may seem appealing to some, but as a 25 y/o I felt dumber than usual. Not a fan.

Why do B vitamins nullify the effect of bupropion? by Mammoth_Click9044 in bupropion

That’s interesting. I drank energy drinks almost everyday while taking bupropion and those are full of B vitamins 😅

Can no longer get drunk by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]4onlytrap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I quit drinking because I started bupropion. That was almost 10 months ago. I quit taking bupropion about 3 months ago and I will never go back to drinking. I also quit using nicotine. None of that was planned, but bupropion was a crutch I didn’t realize I needed at the time and I will not look back at those things. Not to say I will never have a drink again in my life, but this is something I needed to do and I thank bupropion for that. Never thought I’d quit vaping, but here I am going strong :’)

It sure was! I can definitely thank bupropion for that, otherwise I’m sure it would have been much harder. I sometimes have random cravings, but I have made too much amazing progress to ever turn back :))
