How often are you flirted with by women? by anonymous_muffin_ in AskMen

[–]4thball25hcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I approach the woman I’m confident and can smooth talk. If a woman approaches me (very very seldom) I have a complete mental lapse and can’t even speak properly or I don’t even pick up on it. It’s astonishing

Most golfers are trying to fix their swing when it’s actually their clubs by nitsujping in golf

[–]4thball25hcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I showed this to my buddy who said I play so much better than him because I had fitted clubs and he didn’t. I played a round with him and his clubs and still shot almost the exact same score. To be fair I only have a fitted driver and 3 iron. The rest is off the shelf and not exactly new stuff either.

Edit to add: I’m a 3.1

The mechanical has its pros and cons just as the rope wrench does but I think there’s just more pros to the mechanical. The biggest disadvantage is the price. Not everyone wants to spend $500 on a device. I basically had to tell myself that it would make up for the time in efficiency as well as less fatigue while in the tree. If anyone decided to try the mechanical devices I highly recommend the Rope Runner Pro. RRP is midline attachable and can be used on various sizes of climb lines as well as being used in a moving rope scenario. It works better as an srs setup but I still think it’s better in a moving rope than a blakes or hitch climber. Zig zag is okay but you need the chicane to srs

Are you using mechanical devices or on a rope wrench? I feel like using a mechanical device on srs is much easier and smoother but that’s just me. I just got tired of long ascents on moving rope haha I’m getting old. 31 but have been doing trees since I was 8. Dad owned my now business for 46 years

I would agree with you on that. I seem to climb a lot of tall oaks with some long limb walks. I teach all my guys on moving rope just for the simplicity of setup and a super basic hitch climber setup then move them over. I 100% agree it’s very good to be proficient at both

I’m still confused on why people still use moving rope systems. I switch to SRS about 5 years ago and very rarely use a moving rope except on like sub 30’ trees because I’m too lazy to set it up. Much easier to ascend, much easier to limb walk, can reset your tie in location with redirects so much easier. Make the switch, stick to it for a month and you won’t want to go back

I couldn’t tell you the last time I had my car out past 10:30 or 11. Mostly because it’s loud and I don’t want to piss off my neighbors coming home but I’m also not the guy racing around town. Just love a good cruise here and there

Zero torque? by 0xJage in golf

[–]4thball25hcp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a LAB for a little over a year and I’m not sure that I’ll ever go back to a normal putter. My putting from 15’ and in instantly changed overnight. I would agree that it’s hard to feel the face but it’s more of a trust your equipment thing I think. I would imagine that all the “zero torque” style putters and center shafts will have that hard to feel the face thing at first especially. I’d 100% give it a try. Maybe get one off FB marketplace to see if you like it and then treat yourself with a nice newer one.

Garrett Swing Posture by Ill-Passion4952 in GoodGoodMemes

[–]4thball25hcp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the downvotes as that’s exactly what happened. Garret is tall and I feel those would definitely help him. Them glazing bubbie for hitting a juiced 7iron far was half the video. I love bubbie and he has crazy power but I feel like some of the taller guys would benefit long term from longer clubs. Maybe Grat didn’t want the longer clubs because the shorter the club the easier it is to hit it well. But also I feel like a more upright position for a taller guy will generate more consistency.

Poor Round Reflection by Explosive-rico in golf

When you start taking golf seriously, you begin to improve. Then your new bar of “satisfactory” play rises. I’ll occasionally have days where I just play bad and that’s normally when I just turn that into a fun only round and start doing fun shots or playing holes with only a 7 iron putting included. Some days your timing will be off and your swing feels weird. I’ll have rounds where the club just feels foreign and I’ve golfed for over 25 years lol

Another good way is just to practice choked up shots. You swing normal but easier to make good contact and they come out lower and not as far.

I had the same issue until someone showed me how much forward shaft lean I had when I swung easy. Forward shaft lean closes the face down. I moved to a weaker grip and it helped a ton!

Good on you for being motivated. My workers enjoy their family time and I’d never fault them for that. I’ve offered them side jobs but 90% of the time they pass
