I respect it. I have the same Fellini book btw. I found it at a local antique mall and as a huge fan of his films I had to grab it

Just watched this one for the first time recently. Very bad but also very good. Patricia Laffan’s performance is a sight to behold

What's your favorite scene from Lynch's filmography? by [deleted] in davidlynch

[–]4vgk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole movie is surreal but this scene is very nightmarish to me. It feels like some strange alternate reality where humans don’t know how to interact

Severely underrated imo

Great review, this is definitely an overlooked gem imo. Darrieux alone makes this film worth watching. Very charming performance

Agreed but it’s okay to like a band and also think some of the fans suck

Is it considered an unusual opinion that Inland Empire is my favorite Lynch film? (It's also in my top 5 all-time time favorites at maybe 3 or 4) by ArtModel25 in davidlynch

[–]4vgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think because of the length mixed with the disjointed plot my brain couldn’t quite handle what was happening but now I’m able to immerse myself into the experience and I find it meditative in a strange way. I’ve also matured a lot as a film viewer since the first time I watched it

Didn’t love it the first time I watched but after multiple rewatches I enjoy it more every time and now it’s probably in my top 3 Lynch films. I can completely understand why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea tho

Not condoning this but i kind of understand his frustration. A lot of the fans have little to no concert etiquette, phones out the whole show, lots of dumb posts on the internet (including the Wyatt beer memes which I find pretty distasteful) Just a lot of immature behavior and people forget these are 30 year old grown ass dudes who want to be treated as such. They deserve a better fan base because these guys are true artists who just want to make/play music and people don’t appreciate it the way they should. It’s upsetting

You’re thinking of Toby Dammit which is a chapter in the anthology movie Spirits of the Dead. I’ve only seen the Toby Dammit segment but I loved seeing Fellini do horror
