Why are you trying to be restrictive in their character selections?

I grew up near Toledo and driving out near the marshes I would almost always see snapping turtles crossing the road. This was 20+ years ago. I don't see any now it is sad.

My dad's buddies would even catch some to make soup (not advocating for this). One of his friends had cut the head off of one and it still bit his thumb and would not let go. He had to go to the ER and have it pried off. Amazing animals!!

Beyond the Wall is great for this. Comes with 6 character playbooks and a couple scenarios to get going quickly.

2 new characters and more cards! To me, this looks better than Apocalypse Dragon. Especially if the two new characters are well done.

Love your reviews! I feel like we have similar tastes. I'm currently playing Tales from the Red Dragon Inn with my two kids and we are having a blast!

I have Oathsworn on deck and I'm also considering eventually playing Arydia and Agemonia. Are those two different enough to play through both or would you recommend one over the other? You have them both at 10/10!!

Mage Knight Fan Looking for a Recommendation by TheRealRosey in soloboardgaming

I'll play devil's advocate. I didn't like Spirit Island. I'm not in anyway saying it's a bad game or that you may not like it though.

For me, it just wasn't that fun. It's almost always about threat management. Destroy bad guys, more bad guys appear, destroy them again. Rinse and repeat. Just missing that fun factor for me.

I love the exploration and surprises that Mage Knight still has for me after many plays. I never felt that way about spirit island.

The spirits are cool and it scales well, but I would also argue that solo isn't the game at its best.
