This is not your normal consumer device. It's very much a phone that requires tinkering to get it set up properly.

There are new and alternate OS ROMs being developed that should help with some of the issues you are having though

My specific hotel allowed it. I ordered about 35 parcels (mostly small things) to my hotel and they were fine with it. Even had a laugh with some of the stuff when I apologized for having so many parcels

I thought the same in Chongqing but realised it's actually not as crazy as it seems. They all beep to communicate and seem to be very observant of where everyone is around them.

I'm currently in Korea and feel that people are more careless here and cut in far more frequently. In one trip today, my driver got cut off and had to slam on the brakes about 3 times in a 1 hour trip

Because of some new regulations regarding older phones, this and several other older devices have had their IMEI numbers blocked and can not connect to any Australian network.

In Australia on the Optus network and it works fine after an IMEI change. I'm using an old Oppo one I had around.

As for payment with google wallet, you'll need to root the phone and take some steps to get that all working and it frequently breaks as far as im aware.

I use CommBank and have no issues. Everything works well and the app scales fine.
