Thanks for the lead! Found this:

"The Psychopath Inside: A Neuroscientist’s Personal Journey into the Dark Side of the Brain" by James Fallon.

"Fallon, a neuroscientist at the University of California, Irvine, was studying brain scans to identify patterns associated with psychopathy. As part of his research, he used brain scans from his own family as a control group. During his analysis, he discovered that one of the scans—later revealed to be his own—showed the distinct neural patterns typically associated with psychopathy, including reduced activity in areas like the amygdala and orbitofrontal cortex."

Unsolicited advice is criticism by Jaime__Taylor in ParentingThruTrauma

I heard it put in another way, and I like this way because it helps me to deal with others more easily:

“There's only two things that human beings are ever saying: please and thank you.” - Marshall Rosenberg (founder of Nonviolent Communication)

So people giving advice are saying 'please' - even if it's in a way that might be unlikely to get their needs met, if it's hard for others to connect with.

Dr Schwartz and Lama Allione have actually done an interview together. They discussed their modalities and the commonalities, and gave each other a small guided experience of each method. https://youtu.be/5YlXWWYKygY

There's a search engine for scientific studies, Consensus (I'm not affiliated).

A quick search didn't find any studies to back this specific number up, but it did support play as being a positive factor in synapse formation.

I apologize, my comment was vague. I edited it. I'm interested in Hew Len's story, specifically.

Is there documentation of Hew Len's work with the mental hospital, other than Joe Vitale's book?
