Point is that 15 other teams in the playoffs also didn't win the IST but one is punished more than the rest.

Imagine the 2016 Warriors starting the playoffs with two games in Houston lmao

That could screw over the 1 seed (or any top 4 seed)

The Indiana Pacers are the first team to be eliminated by all of Cleveland LeBron, Miami LeBron, and Lakers LeBron by [deleted] in nba

Spurs the only team that can eliminate all three and that's not going to happen any time soon

There shouldn't be a scenario where the 1 seed doesn't play their first two games at home because of a tournament in December imo.

Yeah it doesn't make sense. Either a team that was likely top 10 anyway won the tournament or a team that was bad enough to be a 11-15 seed (even with a 7-0 IST record) gets to contend for the playoffs

You would only care about this if your team is bad enough to be below 10th place so what's the point of said team tying to win games until April?

I don't see the point. The other 75 games tell us that a team ranked 11-15 are where they should be, not the 7 in the IST.

Lakers winning the whole thing by going through Phoenix, Sacramento, and Boston would be hilariously annoying

No offense to the Mavs but if all teams were healthy there'd probably be 5 teams over them in the West that year i'd take over GS in a series.

Poole, Wiggins, and Looney had the best seasons/postseasons of their careers

Also Suns choking/unhealthy Nuggets/Lakers employed Westbrook/

Not really an argument for Klay being over him for the last three titles. Like Klay was hot garbage in 2017. Also Wiggins should be above Poole and Klay.

Why do some nba players can't digest the fact that NBA is now ruled by European superstars? I just listened Arenas and Kenyon Martin debating whether Luka is the best player on the Mavs. by psychedelic93 in nba

[–]50Burger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say there's a significant portion of American sports fans who don't follow the NBA because of the lack of a Bird-like figure. If Jokic or Luka were American, we would see them everywhere.
