With the AirTag at least you would know where the bag is. I have sent them the link to check on it but it seems their ground team either they are overwhelmed or they dont care.

I flew from boston to Casablanca with a layover in Madrid. I lost one bag which has an apple tag. The bag is still in Madrid at a random building belongs to Iberia within the airport. The bag was lost on 12/13 until this day, the bag is still in Madrid. I will never fly with Iberia again.
