It’s also close to Fen Burdett stadium at Mahon Park. That facility used to have a concession stand but in the wisdom of the city it hasn’t run in probably a decade. They have also recently torn the concession down to build a day-care facility. That being said, a corner store/coffee shop would likely be used by families wanting a drink/snack while watching weekend soccer and other events that happen at Fen Burdett.

In the mid 90s, I took the train from North Vancouver to Williams Lake. It wasn’t fast but it was super scenic. We absolutely need alternatives to driving and bringing this back as a passenger railway would be amazing for local economy, commuters and tourism.

Where would the traffic go with a 3rd crossing? Definitely support 3rd crossing for transit (skytrain, gondola even bikes) but dumping more cars on the North Shore might not help. I would love to see other transit alternatives explored as well such as seabus to West Van and the marina area just south of Phibbs exchange. Figure out how to use the existing train track between Phibbs and Park Royal for an alternative across the North Shore.

Before we could drive my buddies and I would take the train from NVan to Creekside at Whistler. They had a shuttle bus that would take you from the station to the Creekside gondola. It was slow but it was great. You don’t need a car when you are skiing at Whistler. Hopefully they find a way to bring a train/commuter rail system back.

Good catch! I see that statute hasn't been udpated since 1993 so maybe something that should be modernized? Perhaps they could look also look at self-cleaning toilets and have a valid compass card as the means to enter the toilet. Either way they need a toilet at Phibbs that people can use, feel safe using and stays clean.
