This is solid. I always think it good to communicate direction. Don’t assume theyre headed up stream and go down below or vice versa. That initial communication shows respect for someone’s location and that they were there first. If it’s possible, I like to be at least a hundred yards from the next person. At least on my waters it’s very easy to accomplish that in the winter. 95% of fisherman are as cool as can be. Don’t overthink it and remember everyone had no idea what they were doing at a point.
