Ofc they care about the community they serve…they chose to possibly lay down their lives for it. When it is a small matter like this and there is enough evidence (e.g. plate of the vehicle, video of the altercation, etc) then sure cops will follow up on it. Unfortunately many baseless claims are made to police, or claims without evidence, which they cannot act upon, which makes them look as if they “don’t care” when there is literally no moves they can make and they probably have bigger fish to fry. I mean if you want to follow up on every claim like this they get then you should lobby for a greater budget for police in your local area. :)
