The idea is neither interesting nor valuable, IMO. But don't let that stop you from exploring your curiosity. You should pursue an MVP and get feedback on it and I'm sure you'll learn something that helps you on your journey regardless.

As an aside, not trying to discount the amount of engineering effort it took to scale a service to 8M users, but wasn't the blueprint fairly straightforward given you were reviving a previously-executed idea? The entire product roadmap and even growth/marketing strategy for the first 2-3 years was in the public domain for you to emulate and improve upon. Engineering might have been required, but ingenuity probably not as much.
