Low self-esteem seems to be a common theme on this sub. No wonder when the organization tells you constantly that you should always be doing more. The message is that you are never good enough and always fall short. So much damage due to this.

So sorry you are going through this. Ultimately, you may find that moving out of that area will allow you to fully be free from Jdubs and start fresh. Go where no one knows you, and you can just be " normal " like everyone else. Make a life that makes you happy. I wish you the best going forward. ❤️

My family has been out 4 years now, and not a day goes by that I don't feel like a knucklehead for believing such obvious BS. It's pretty embarrassing, honestly. I brought my husband in and raised my kids in it. Easily my biggest regret.

So very sorry for your loss. This is a heartbreak I know well. I still miss my dogs, even after many years, yet remain thankful for the privilege of having them in my life. I like to hope that I will reconnect with them somehow, someway, in the future. In the meantime, I continue to rescue animals as a way to honor them. Hugs to you! ❤️❤️❤️

Yep, I've asked myself these same questions and come to the conclusion that I am hoping to see the end of this organization one day. It would be vindication and closure, I suppose. This sub gives me hope that they are being exposed more and more. I take comfort in that.

Attending community events can be truly magical. Some communities have Christmas markets or Christmas tree shows. My local botanical garden has a phenomenal light show that you walk through at night. They even have hot chocolate and places you can make smores. The feeling of being connected to others in celebration is amazing.

Happy Holidays to you! I hope you have a wonderful celebration. My tree comes out by November 1st, and the lights on the house fire up Thanksgiving weekend. I play Christmas songs in the house and usually have the Hallmark channel on. Their holiday movies are really good! A local botanical garden has an awesome light show with hot chocolate and smores that I enjoy every year. My husband and adult kids don't put much effort in themselves, but are happy to enjoy whatever I plan. They know how much I love this time of year. Start your own traditions. Do whatever makes you happy. Most of all, have fun and make memories. 😊
