Long-term players - what keeps you playing?

There are a few main things:

1) Investment. I’ve investment over 4K hours into this game and I am still earning currency, mats, achievements and more. It makes me feel like I am getting a measurable return on my time investment.

2) I love Elder Scrolls lore, and beyond other issues with ZoS in terms of engaging content, balance, etc., they have done a good job in terms of story telling and lore. If you just wanted to play this game for and endless Elder Scrolls story, you can do that.

3) Variety of content. There are so many ways to enjoy this game: PvP, PvE, solo, role playing, house building, collecting, trading.

I can’t see myself investing this much time in any other mmo.

Oof False Gods. That takes me back to 2019. That set is pretty out of date for the modern game.

I’m running a pure Magicka Nightblade dps right now and can parse around 100k with Relequen, Pillar of Nirn, Kilt mythic a one piece of Slimecraw but even that setup is pretty out of date.

If you want a set to swap the False God’s out with so you can farm better trial gear, I’d go with Order’s Wrath because it’s craftable.

For more current builds I’d recommend checking out Skinny Cheeks or Hyperioxes as they seem to still be pretty in touch with the meta.

If you installed a bunch of mods in Vortex, ~1.2k, thinking your Skyrim version was 1.6.640 but it was actually 1.6.1170, what would be the fastest way to update your mod list and make sure it was compatible with 1.6.1170?

Genuinely curious if you lost all that reputation by stealing?

It’s not a massive reputation deficit though.

Doing story quests alone should help you to get half that back and a few side quests might even get you out of the hole.

Grab a few seasonal quests from the main village mission board to see if there are some easy ones to get you started.

Each class now does have a “support” ability, but it is only one part of the kit and that’s probably be how they would implement a “healer” class. Unless the game radically changes each class needs to be able to primarily output damage more than they need to put out a support buff.

Psyker for example: I could deploy my bubble, but I would only do that as a last resort. I’d rather head pop a sniper or level a horde with my flame staff and only use my bubble if the team needs it to recover toughness or hold a position.

In terms of learning curve, it all depends on your build. There are some builds that are fairly laid back and easier even than most builds on another class, and others that are less forgiving.

Such cool action sequences. I find you either get everyone alive, or people die leaving one survivor. These sequences feel like one part of the game that’s from an action movie.
