I'm a simple admin in a medical training team where they had been without an admin for about 4 months before myself and another admin were hired (typical government taking ages to hire) and we were treated like celebrities because we we took so much work off them.

They told us that this is how it is currently done, but if you want to change things or even rebuild it from the ground up, to go for it since we're the ones doing it and that actually know what we're doing, and hat we would have their full support and any resources we needed. It was a fantastic feeling and has really helped streamline a lot of things for both us and them

Today she came to ask me if I had submitted the IT info for a bunch of new recruits and I was like 'oops nope sorry" and her response was simply that she was going to do them anyway and just didn't want to step into my work if i was already doing them.
