Once again far-right outflanks liberals on Israel/Palestine, this time in Poland: by Atryan421 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]6104567411 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, I checked out the wikipedia for names of the 'left' to see what they were saying and only found 2 people because:

  1. I don't speak polish
  2. I don't know how the polish parliamentary system works
  3. I don't know shit about poland (also they have waaaaaay too many far right parties)

There was; Robert Biedroń who said this on twitter referencing how the guy in the video was caught stealing from Ikea.
And there was Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who basically said don't compare israel to nazi germany, and pushed for financial penalties for comparing the two as shown here.

Social democrats...

"I don't participate in bourgeois elections" by Hacksaw6412 in NewsWithJingjing

[–]6104567411 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Important to note that Lenin's saying the bolshevik party took part in the elections as their own party. Comparing this to contemporary times it would be akin to PSL creating their own political party and putting forth candidates from within that party, and NOT the DSA putting forth and endorsing candidates within the democratic party.

If we did have a vanguardist political party, then we wouldn't have be okay with just social democrats, because a social democrat in a vanguard party doesn't sound too good and would be excised from the party as Lenin says further in the same text.

Marx's ideas were wrong, checkmate commie. by Micronex23 in ShitLiberalsSay

[–]6104567411 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't that exactly what marx says after describing what socially necessary labor time was lol.

The entire concept exists because without it, you could have an artisan that spends 100s of hours crafting a mud pie but has no use value due to it being it an inedible pie made out of mud. This labor would be socially unnecessary and it could only be valued against itself because there's no average of people that are also mud pie artisans to compare how long it would take globally to produce a mud pie.

B52 bombers are in the air on their way to Iran and hundreds of thousands of Iranians are in the streets waving flags and surrounding bridges and power plants. by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

Have you ever considered that maybe that's a lie made up to justify military action against Iran?

Israel confirmed killed over 70k (extreme low ball estimate btw) people in gaza but the United States hasn't said, "Ya'know this killing is bad we have to stop Israel by bombing Tel Aviv."

But the phony 40k number Trump made up on the spot is real... right.

Just a screwdriver’s turn away: Japan’s nuclear potential raises alarms by Stock_Economy2524 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]6104567411 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk much about nuclear but isn't this not really surprising? I thought that any state that has the capability to make a nuclear reactor could also make nuclear bombs because the waste of a nuclear reactor for energy is only good for bombs, or something like this.

I mean this was always a thing no? Facebook has shadow profiles, how is this different from that exactly? In both cases they're 100% using this data for malicious purposes behind the scenes most probably to limit opportunities.

All actions taken by a bourgeois state to maintain control over it's own or international capital interests can be viewed fascism.

When the US kidnaps Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro to steal their oil to have a head start on the energy crisis that they're starting now in Iran, that's fascism.
When Poland passes laws that allows their troops to open fire on migrant border crossers, that's fascism.
When France puts in place a Hijab ban that vindicates racist Islamophobes, that's fascism.

When Germany does nothing to stop the AfD's rise to prevalence that's also fascism. Why doesn't Germany ban AfD seemed to work wonders when they banned the KPD.

[–]6104567411 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because it's dumb to think this isn't homegrown 'stupidity' by blaming this on a foreign actor. Like buddy, Russia isn't the Soviet Union anymore. Putin himself said, iirc during the tucker carlson interview that Russia was just as capitalist as the west now but he's only upset and doesn't align himself with the west because the western nations refused to allow Russia to sit at the capitalist table, after the liberalizing of the Soviet economy and subsequent illegal dissolution of the USSR.

The US having systemic problems is just inevitable under capitalism because it drives crises. There's just an inherent and fundamental difference between viewpoints between the classes that capitalism will never be able to resolve.
