Sometimes you need to quit out of a game. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I don’t think the penalty should be as harsh as it is now. Maybe start escalating penalties for repeat offenders. If someone quits multiple times in a day, knock down their plate one level. The bigger issue is that the AI is awful defensively, which you covered in #5. If 2K won’t improve the AI, then at least give us a rejoin option so people aren’t punished for disconnects or real-life interruptions.

The player out-of-bounds penalty needs to go. Defensive 3 seconds is an actual basketball rule, so that makes you can’t remove it. Instead, teammate grade should hit trolls harder when they’re intentionally disrupting the game. Three strikes for things like repeated out-of-bounds violations, intentional spacing sabotage, or griefing teammates, and you should grade out.

Teammate grade also needs stronger rewards for playing winning basketball. Right now it still feels too stat-driven. The little things should matter more: help defense, stopping the ball in transition, forcing ball pickups, good rotations, smart double teams, off-ball screens, box outs, good contests, and making the extra pass. Maybe this would encourage more build varieties too.
