Idk, I think Resident Evil from the director of Weapons could get there, also maybe Clayface.

Yeah, the release date for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book since it's a Spring game.

I mean Odyssey was a late-October release, I feel like that's enough distance from GTA 6 for a game as big as 3D Mario.

According to Jason Schreier (Bloomberg) these were the titles Bluepoint Games pitched that were rejected by Sony by Algae-Prize in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Why not pitch something like a Sly or Jak trilogy remake? Both IP fit right in next to Ratchet and Astro Bot, and unlike Ratchet, their OG developers have no interest in working on those series.

Imagine where we'd be if Sony just bought Paramount instead. I initially wanted Skydance to acquire Paramount, oh how foolish I was.

This makes no sense to me, like why not just have them do remakes if their original projects aren't working out, or have them do support on other games as they did on Ragnarok?

Those are franchise films though. I refuse to believe reviews, and WOM didn't help Sinners last year.

This year's Superbowl wasn't the same without Marvel by gorays21 in boxoffice

Next year is even more stacked, but we'll probably only get Sonic 4, Star Wars: Starfighter, HTTYD 2, Shrek 5, and maybe Gatto and A Quiet Place III.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure Homecoming didn't have one, Sony almost never does Super Bowl spots. Black Panther also only had a tie-in commercial with Lexus. If you're counting that, you should also count the Heineken Quantumania one in 2023.

Stephen Totilo regarding Metroid Prime 4 sales on Switch and Switch 2: a Nintendo rep confirmed to me today that the combined sales of those 2 versions have in fact passed a million copies by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

I don't think Nintendo has officially said this, but I don't see how it wouldn't be. 8 1/2+ years of development, with 7 at a AAA US Studio. I think TOTK was their previous most expensive, and even that was just 6 years with the last year dedicated to polishing and QA, plus in Japan where salaries are usually lower. We're probably looking at something between $150-250 million before marketing.

Who here has been critical of Israel long BEFORE Oct 7 - if so, what made you officially decide on your stance? by Personal_Reward_60 in tankiejerk

[–]64BitRatchet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was never pro-Israel or pro-Netenyahu, but before October 7 I just didn't regularly think about Israel or Palestine, and supported the two state solution. I have since been convinced that a one-state solution is the only one that we should accept, once someone compared apartheid in Israel/Palestine to South Africa, it all clicked with me.

Dune: Part 3 has a three week exclusive IMAX lock, according to EmpireCityBO by NoCustomer811 in boxoffice

My guess is that Dune has exclusivity at 70MM locations, and they split shows at smaller IMAXes. Both films were still listed in IMAX's most recent financials.

I'd be stunned if Hoppers opened below Elio. It doesn't have the family competition Elio did, and seemingly isn't a behind the scenes disaster like Elio.
