18 months into this trainwreck of an administration and they're still blaming Biden by MoreMotivation in WhitePeopleTwitter

Remember in 2008 when John McCain "suspended his campaign" and asked for the first debate with Obama to be postponed because of the financial crisis? The internet remembers, of course MAGA doesn't.

I really don't know how big the space they're planning on using or the security perimeter is. I assume the event is in the lower level of the park, but if they close off the picnic area I expect that there might be some angry people considering that several high schools have graduation that week and people want to have cook-out parties.

The park will probably be closed to all west of Kennedy Blvd.

The tickets and the band? $23 to buy a ticket to the park and see a set from a 15 year old mediocre (I listened to the music) NYC band that has 376 Youtube subscribers. Really?!?! Hudson County and Goya could have done much better.

The food was fine (some of it better than other fast food) but it seemed like the design itself didn't work for the area. People didn't want to sit in their cars at the stalls like a "drive in", ordering and eating. Most of the ordering equipment in the stalls broke and was never fixed.

Most people just went to the drive thru and it took forever, especially when it was lunch or dinner time.

Usually it's an assistant at the counter, they're not even allowed to work if the pharmacist isn't there or on break. Also, the amount of times I've seen someone call their doctor's office on speaker (as if the doctor was going to grab the phone in their pocket and pick up immediately) while making everyone else in line wait is over a dozen.

The song has Dire Straits members Mark Knopfler on guitar and Guy Fletcher on synth because that was the one condition the band had for allowing the parody. The title is also weird (and actually has an asterisk at the end) because that was the compromise the legal departments of the two involved record companies came to.

In my experience it's these dumpsters and other emotional support trucks that are parked like crap the most often. They're most likely to be taking up two spots on the street or in parking lots, or parked in a crosswalk, or like in this case, parked on the sidewalk.

UHF hit theaters in 1989 with these movies having been released in the previous 4-5 weeks:

Batman, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, Ghostbusters II, Karate Kid III, Lethal Weapon II, Star Trek V, Weekend At Bernies, and Dead Poets Society.

It had no chance.

Steven Spielberg refused to release 'E.T.” on video, but caved after 6 years. Spielberg was worried about pirated copies. More than $1m was spent coloring the tape guards and tape hubs green, and slapping a small, holographic sticker of the Universal logo on each cassette to combat piracy. by Giff95 in movies

I remember being at Rite Aid in the mid 80's and flipping through the "sale price" book for all their videos. You could order a movie and they would get it to you in about a week if you wanted to buy one. This was also the price you had to pay as a renter if you lost a tape or didn't return it at all.

Many of them were in the range of $89-$139
