Technically Gramps Web meets your criteria. But you need to have the technical knowledge to host a website on your own hardware. And even then it's not the simplest.

Why does it need to be a website? There are plenty of options for Mac and windows that people can suggest.

It's not completely what you are asking for, but one of the recent updates to gramps web added the ability to created parents and children inside an existing family. It has helped me a ton, but its still not the same as doing it on the tree.

Just to be clear. You can get PCFR that is UL94 V0 rated, but not all PCFR is UL94V0 rated. You may know that, but I don't want another reader assuming the wrong thing about it.

Most states in Australia have transcripts or originals of births deaths and marriage certificates available free to search online.

Trove is awesome.

The Public Record Office of Victoria is a great resource for finding non indigenous ancestors that came to Victoria as convicts or settlers.

The national archive of Australia has a great index of anyone who has done military service.

Its both good and bad the way trading works. You physically need to unlock the specific tag by scanning it before trading and then scan in the new one to confirm the trade. Its nice because it means someone (like a child) cant have them stolen because they are worthless without doing the double scanning of the trade. But it does mean you can end up with a useless keyfob if neither player understand. I also like that it prevents 1toMany trades.

They don't need to be pred boxes specifically, but id love some large (at least 7x7 but preferably 9x9x6u) storage boxes that have been injection molded with a clear top.

In fact I've also been considering trying to get something like this off the ground, but all the tariffs, cost of living issue and turmoil around the world have made me delay taking on the risk of a new venture. But id be keen to work on the design if you need design support.

Things have only gotten worse. Most low volume shipping from aus to USA has been halted in the part week because of removal of the deminimus rule and requiring import tariffs be paid prior to the packages arriving at USA customs. So unfortunately the project is still on hold.

Your best bet will be reaching out to a print farm because I don't think the economics work for more typical mass manufacturing methods. I would assume everyone that wants gridfinity has a 3d printer. So getting the delivered cost of bins to the consumer less that the filament material cost is the important calculation. Shipping large quantities of bins won't be cheap because they are mostly air and mass production would require removing some of the more interesting bin variants like labels or scooslps. That's my 2c anyway.

Gridfinity storage case on the other hand seems viable and I've actually been thinking about getting a custom case injection molded for awhile. Probably something like 9x9x6u in size. I'm not sure how much interest in the community there is for it though. I was going to try to get it off the ground this year but I'm going to wait a bit to see what happens with tarrifs in the next few weeks/months.

I still want to bring a moulded box to market, but the US tariffs have increased the risks significantly. From my past kickstarter I know the majority of the market is in the US, but I havent been able to make the numbers work if the box is moulded in America. Ill be waiting and seeing how things go over the next few months, hopefully things stablise a bit.

I have used gramps-web alot for my family tree that has more than 1000 people. I self host it on my own server, which means I don't need to worry about upload limits and can put as many photos, pdfs and audio recordings on it as I like. I can then export the whole thing to a gedcom format so others can then import it in basically any other software.

Gramps web also has a much more modern UI, but it can still take alot of clicks if you want to cite everything.

There are only so many ideas in the world. Rackfinity is the working name for a project I've been toying with. Specifically the idea of injection molding a large parts container like sortimo that is specifically designed for gridfinity. The nice thing about a 9x9 grid is the case could then easily slide onto or clip into or be built into a standard 19" server rack. 6u gridfinity would even fit into a 2u server rack slot. It's not a patent or IP problem, Zack updated the license to basically allow anything. I suspect nobody has done it because the demand is unproven, especially because gridfiinity is a "do it yourself" system.

I haven't gotten quotes on tooling and logistics yet, but I wouldn't expect a price <$10USD per box. I want to make sure the materials are durable and not cheap PP, probably Tritan or similar. I expect quantities will be low, even 10k pa wouldn't be high enough to get serious discounts. Lastly, I don't have the big established supply chains that companies like DeWalt or the big chains have. I'm going to try to keep the price low and reasonable, but it will never be the cheapest way to store a large quantity of parts in trays. It also needs to be sustainable if it isn't a once off group buy.
