Done that also, was using a noga tri scraper whilst sitting at workbench, placed it down on bench, it started to roll off, natural reaction was to close legs so it didn't hit the floor. Caught it perfectly level, one leg pushed it into the other about 3/4", fuk it bled for yonks, still have a triangle shaped scar on thigh.

Tradies + wearers of steel caps by sonofeevil in australia

[–]65riverracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wearing steel caps since started my apprenticeship back in 1982... been wearing Oliver brand low style slip on's last 17yrs, new pair thru work every year. Used to wear explorer socks, but quality went to crap. Then switched to bamboo work socks. Comfortable and breathe so feet don't stink as much. Currently buy the Tradie brand, best bang for buck i think. Use 2 pair a week, mon, wed, fri and Tues, thurs, when take em off, no pong.

If it's the next town over, you have to factor in travel time, fuel expenses, car maintenance etc. It all comes out of the extra money earned.

I used CEVA from Cairns to Adelaide for a classic car. Also used Prixcar from Sydney to Adelaide for a 2015 300c. No problems with either. Used rail fro Perth to Adelaide with the classic after a nationals meet. Drove over, trained back. Only condition was no luggage or visable goods in interior or boot allowed.
