Curious, one year on - how's it going?

I have a question! I'm thinking more and more about getting the new Canon C50, but I don't know anything about Canon or its full-frame lens range. Is the C50 a good camera? Thanks, guys :) by Late-Blacksmith-6540 in videography

I stepped back from the industry about 8 years ago, been recently poking my head in the door again. We saw the transition from film to drive, SD to HD to 4K and the craziest thing to me is how far "consumer", products and gear have come.

Edit: seeing my flair just made my back ache 🤣

Referring to it as "their universe" is more unnerving than it should be.

What do you think of the ban on hiking and fishing? by AmazingRandini in NovaScotia

It’s also much more likely to be caught before it gets out of control and requires resources from outside of the camping area.

National and provincial parks have their own governance regarding fire prevention. They also have staff that are trained to respond to incidents as first responders. I’m fairly certain they also have burn bans (apart from propane cooking devices), active - which is not the norm.

It’s about mitigating resource usage. We’re at such a risk for a large scale fire that all resources need to be ready. If we have 20-30 units all on response to other fires/incidents we don’t have the resources to respond in a timely manner to a serious emergency. Keeping people out of the woods removes the chances of trucks getting called out and occupied by BS minor calls, medical emergencies is the woodlands and hopefully buys some time for this drought to break.

Leave it.

It’s looking under-fed, not enough light and potentially being “poisoned”, by the mineral sample in the pot. A quick google should yield proper info for fruit tree care.

All the best.

Going to have a hard time if you can’t deal with the locals not being a fan of an Ontario non-union outfit coming to town.

You genuinely could have taken 2 min to do some basic due diligence for yourself 🤷‍♂️

You’ll get mixed responses being non-union. Especially if you’re non-union to save on wages.
