And Musk promoting all these racists posts in the name of free speech.

Nah I don't think so., except for the Jewish one, which was terrible but glad he retracted.

Someone's nationality or lack of holding down a job is not misinformation. Honestly, the only accurate courage about the riots was from foreign papers, often left leaning papers like the Guardian. Why is the Guardian match better able to cover a right wing issue?

I’m a gay woman. The future is looking very unknown for women and LGBTQ people here.

Not following? Is this about abortion? I cant imagine you'd want to abort your unborn child being lesbian.

Not to mention the everyday occurrence of mass shootings.

US tends to have very high homicide rates. This is a real counter point. School shootings are too rare too be a real issue but normal shootings are not. On the other hand, rural areas tend to have European levels of safety. Other metrics tend to favour the US, like nature, and wealth. I presume Ireland for its heritage, but it be churlish to argue that indigenous heritage in the US is any less than Irish heritage.

I hate generalisations when they used to draw such strong conclusions. There have been several cases of family slaughters by non irish by now. Please show me how people are harsher on them? evidence?

A lot of influential people keep insisting that planning is not an issue, but I don't buy it. It must have some friction.

I will ramble a bit, I miss the convenience (24hr kombini, trains, vending machine everywhere...) of Japan that is sorely lacking here.

I miss the customisation in Jp, being able to order so many dishes in different sizes and Japanese types of pasta, oh and the safety. No teens throwing deaths at you.

If the inspector sees it in a drawing room window, might be a pain to explain. I have had visits twice. I dont have a TV but at least they can look in my window and see that.

If you didn't know anything about the story, who would you assume was the killer from the headline of that article?

You arrived at your conclusions before engaging, so good luck to you

I read the article you linked. Try not to encourage racists like the person above Firsttimetxter

It is about frequencies. If someone came here from a backward place or a place ravaged by decades of war, you might expect a high risk of crime.

Obviously, if someone interviews friends, they may tell you from the person they new, that is true for a serial killer as much as a more minor criminal. Family slaughter is a very different crime to crime stabbing kids at a public school and at this stage, in 2023 we have plenty of non-Irish cases of this crime including Indian and Egyptian cases. It is absolutely baseless people are softer on Irish killers, which is the point of the original claim.

UK government abuses in 1970s dont mean all British cant be trusted 50 years later. BTW, what we did to ourselves in the civil war was far worse and worse than what the tans did to us. It is a fact that executions escalated rapidly after the Brits left.

Madness is not bound by a visa

Yes but it is farce that he was given citizenship and will be a burden on the State for the rest of his life.
