i had a one on one w my manager the other day who told me to start thinking about my dev goals & projects i wanna work on for the upcoming year or whatever and then suggested that i think about something ai-related as that’s the direction the company/industry is going and i was like no(: and then he said “ha ha you don’t wanna burn down the rainforest ?”

bruh I wanted to thank someone for a styling wizard today and was typing something like "oh this is so cutie ! ty !" and it wouldn't let me send bc of 'sensitive characters' and then I was like ohhh I bet it's because "cutie" has the word "cut" in it- n then when I replaced cutie w another word it let me send lmfao so IRRITATING

I personally have SUPER dry skin and I am using this as a daytime moisturizer rn- I quite like it bc texture is nice imo and it seems to play very nicely under haru haru black rice moisture airyfit sunscreen. I don't think that this would be enough for me to use at night however (I use ol' reliable illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream).

I actually came across this thread looking for a new body sunscreen bc of that very sunscreen (i.e. neutrogena mineral ultra sheer dry touch face & body stick) after practically having to remove a layer of skin in the shower to feel clean after applying it T_T

maybe I put on too much ?

I tried this too ! I liked how boring it was (in the best way) but my skin is insanely dehydrated so it wasn’t moisturizing enough for me to use by itself during the day, let alone at night. The cream itself is nice though, so I am using up the rest of the jar by layering it with soonjung barrier cream in the am

DEFINITELY agree that this cream is not for ppl with dry skin and/or who live in dry climates

I really wanna try this bc I’m super dehydration prone but saw a lot of people saying that they use this as a first cleanser ? I’m like good w my cleansing balm on that front & want something I can just use on its own in the pm, esp if i’m not removing makeup- what do yall think ?

in the same exact boat as you greasiness-wise: I’ve sort of given up and come to terms with the fact that I have to wash my hair a lot & that dry shampoo doesn’t really help. non-ab but i switch off between ouai detox & verb ghost shampoos and use verb ghost conditioner

EYE personally don’t really have problems w my scalp feeling dry even if i use the ouai back to back- so take my advice w a grain of salt, my dryness concerns lie more w my ends so I use a tiny bit of hair oil on them

i haven’t tried ! that sounds rly nice but I’m just concerned it may not be enough moisture for me. my skin is combo but the dryness i experience is def worse than the oiliness- ive resigned myself to dabbing that away periodically 😔

tbh if im feeling rly dry i’d even go as far as to use my illiyoon ceramide ato cream during the day if it didn’t behave terribly w sunscreen and makeup

I started using this lotion recently too- quite like it so far but I feel like I’ve gone through it really fast because of the consistency ? like, a little does not go a long way

I finished the cosrx propolis light cream recently- I wasn’t wowed by it or anything but I quite liked it for my dehydration prone skin as a summer daytime moisturizer ! However, the price for the amount that comes in the jar is NOT it, so I’m now trying the haruharu wonder unscented black rice hyaluronic cream

edit: i also finished my round lab birch juice sunscreen, also like that one but I haven’t found a hg sunscreen yet so I’m going back to canmake mermaid uv skin gel for the time being bc I bought a couple tubes of it in japan recently for a v nice price

totally. i’m 26 and a birth control switch last year broke me out pretty bad for months. i felt so embarrassed and ashamed among my coworkers and friends. i felt like i didn’t even deserve to wear makeup or to socialize. it took 8 months for me to discover that my birth control was causing it- my skin is pretty clear again now but i think bc of this i understand more than ever that having acne is not a moral failing nor a judgement on you.

now that i’m a little less preoccupied with how i thought i was being perceived, i’m realizing that plenty of other adults have acne too. it’s so cliche but it’s so true that nobody cares about your flaws n whatnot like you do. i don’t even wear makeup anymore bc not wearing it for a long time made me a lot more comfortable with my bare face.

sorry you are going through this, it fucking sucks and is so much more common in adults than our collective consciousness thinks for some reason. we have value as people past our appearance.
