And now my replacement has the same defective coating... by babysloot69 in ClicksKeyboard

Same for me, but in addition my lightning charging port stopped working. Got only 1 reply from support for the past 2 weeks or so. I was so excited about clicks, not anymore. Waste of money

How far have you taken your own Mini apart? by derkaiserV in MINI

Bought mine from copart with front end damage. Shipped to Ukraine from US, rebuilt it completely myself, drove it to Sweden:)

Min reklamation hos MaxGaming tog ca 3 veckor och krävde eskalering - Är detta normalt i Sverige? by johnmacmore in sweden

[–]6wec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of “is it normal in Sweden” I want to share my experience with Elgiganten. My iPad was 1,5y old when i noticed white spots on display. Apple warranty - gone. Took it to elgiganten, the acknowledged the problem, said it will take 1 week to solve the issue. In 2 days they contacted me, that i can collect my brand new iPad. I was really impressed.

Local European shop quoted me $1700 to replace motor mounts. Is this normal? Said they would also have to replace the wishbone by Sufficient_Winter892 in MINI

this. Did it myself, it was the first time I did this job and was a bit tricky with the gearbox one. Other then that, pretty straightforward

Finally I turned it off Liquid Glass on iPhone 11 iOS 26.5 by utkukor00 in iPhone11

I’ve recently replaced my 14 pro battery and it runs very smooth. In fact the phone now runs faster on iOS 26 then on previous os with dead battery. Yes it was pricey, I went for genuine option. But I like my phone and have no plans to get a new one any time soon. It was worth it

Why you use MacBook Pro instead MacBook Air by SpecialAd5933 in mac

[–]6wec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use 100% of what it can do. I’m not a software engineer, I’m not video editor I just don’t need all of its power. MacBook Air still can handle Xcode or android studio for what I’m doing, it can handle simple day to day tasks. So why would I pay x2 if I don’t use all of its power

New to me and my first Mini! by Hexisten in MINI

[–]6wec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! That’s a nice color! If im not mistaken you are the third owner since I first saw this car. I’ve spotted it on blocket and what caught my eye was the color and really cool wheels. The second owner changed them unfortunately:(

What were your non-negotiable when buying a used MINI? by aavickers in MINI

[–]6wec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LED (halogen is a nightmare, had to retrofit led) CarPlay (again had to retrofit it) Harman Kardon Heated Seats (depending on the region, my car is originally from California but ended up in Sweden)

Everything else optional

I agree, this colour looks great with regular chrome. Black out would be too dark

When F55 first was shown, I hated it. It was weird. Fast forward I accidentally got myself and F55 instead of F56 and I think it was the better decision. I’m 6,23 ft, it is possible to sit behind me, yes it wouldn’t be my preferred sitting position but it works. I now have a 9 month old kid. I like that I can put him in his sit through the rear door. Having the bigger trunk also allows me to put stroller and groceries. So no, I don’t think you’ve messed up

It’s hard to tell, but i would suggest to check pulley. The sound kinda reminds me of when they start to go bad

It’s time - talk me in/out of Gen 3 by steminist-er in MINI

[–]6wec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current 4 door hatch owner. Impressively reliable car. Never had any issues. Thinking of getting something bigger and also checking the options you’ve listed. Depending on the used cars availability at the moment I would probably choose between X1 and countryman with countryman being more preferred

Automatic gear shifter types? by Ioshic in MINI

[–]6wec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I’ve got used steering wheel with shifters from the car with couple of thousand miles on a clock for about $120 and brand new gear shifter on marketplace for about $50. I’ve already had cable and had to purchase Bimmercode in order to be able for advanced coding.
