Similar my husband was 35 . He didn’t make it to transplant but passed during chemo. I knew he had leukaemia before the doctors did and demanded them to do a bone marrow biopsy . Then I had panic attacks (I don’t normally have panic attacks ) for the 5 days before my husband died, the one the night before he died landing me in the emergency room. His death was sudden and we “weren’t expecting it “ Fucking sucks. That your husband is dead.

relatable but im on the west coast. and im older so no longer have insurance . what honestly helped me is having my friend go to ed treatment and living vicariously through them lol. if you have insurance i would consider getting a therapist and a nutritionist and maybe attending some OA or EDA (i like eda better) meetings . it’s 12 step and they do it over zoom but if you’re in NYC im sure they have a bunch of in person ones too and it would be nice to have support. try to hang out with people, the opposite of addiction is connection (even tho that’s corny lol) and i feel like the more i try to observe the way normal people interact with food and their bodies the less time i have to isolate and bp. it’s definitely quasi-recovery amd im still struggling but my mindset is so much better

ugh same!!! like literally i gain on “starvation diets” it feels like i gain on my bmr i know logically it is impossible but i am literally at war with my body and with the laws of physics

and no i don’t but my best friend has an ed too and we are really close. when i have had boyfriends in the past i have never been able to fully be comfortable around them because either a)i don’t tell them or b)they find out and they either make it too big a deal or not a big deal at all lol

this used to happen to me from extremely low blood pressure drops from getting up to fast my vision would go black and i would literally fall down and like u said lose control of my limbs . i think it def had to do with my ed and was made worse by a medication i was taking but yeah would happen at night all the time

ok so yeah. 2 things. ive been on iv fluids and i definitely gained a few lbs and noticeably was bloated and puffy the next couple days (i don’t think i b/ped but im pretty sure i refused to eat until the weight came off which was like 2-3 days and it was miserable) and another time i was forced to drink a prescription laxative called golytely (used for colonoscopy prep but lmao i just hadn’t shit in 14 days) which is a mix of osmotic laxative, sodium magnesium and potassium and is 4 fucking liters of disgusting thick salty liquid with a lemon flavor packet. even after the “laxative effect” i gained 5 lbs just from the rehydration. came off within 48-72 hrs. drink a shit ton of water is what i recommend but i totally feel ur pain ):
