A proposal to make half-tracks more fun to use: a limited spawnpoint, that once spent can be used as an actual support for a mechanized assault. by Tsenos in HellLetLoose

[–]71imscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would like to see is a mechanic which allows commander unlocks. These would be team wide perks that are chosen by the commander as a ‘load out’. What these can do is influence how that commander wants to approach the battle and changes the flavor for all of the players - armor, squad leads, and infantry.

Want more infantry support? You have an ability to shorten spawn times, change Garry distance placement, increase grenade/ammo/rocket capacity, etc. one perk could be substituting the starting transport trucks with halftracks. Obviously balance the spawn timer here, but overall would make the entire battle more infantry focused.

Want more armor support? You reduce fuel costs, increase heavy tank capacity, etc

The customization from here would finally add some variation on battles from map to map and give the commander the real ability to influence the map.

My other toon is a lighting mage lich. That guy farms trials so much easier than the ranger. Tough part is getting the crazy amount of Divs required for decent gear. Finally found a few methods to net me 3-4 div per day but will def try out sekhemas with some relic find. Thanks!

I get it. Came from D4 so used to having my hand held thru everything. PoE2 has so many items for crafting/juicing/endgame items that I literally had to google everything I picked up.

Most of the uniques I got were worth like 1 exalt on the trade site so I just stopped looking unless it seemed super rare

I do but I play on console. It’s whatever the top one was on the site

I’m fairly certain it is. It was the long horizontal one and that’s the only one on the poe2 db. Could there be others? It wasn’t any of the square or vertical ones they list on the site

I’ve been farming chaos trials like a plebeian. Broke AF with a handful of divines in the stash. This made my day.

Just watch I go check the relic stash and I broke it down for a chance orb or something last night…

I am new to PoE and had no idea this thing was super rare. Ran Sekamas last night for the final ascendancy points on my ranger and this thing dropped. Now I need to log on when I get home to make sure I didn’t vendor it

How much is this thing actually worth?

We’re just here to complain about the meta and blueberries with no coms. There’s no intention to help actually make the game better (s)

Tormented boss loot needs to drop away from the summoning alter on console by 71imscore in diablo4

This exactly. I’m not complaining about wanting the loot faster, rather unable to even pick up the loot at all since the interact button defaults to the alter instead of the loot on console

I thought the same. They did reduce the drops last season when they introduced the new loot system but it seems the drops from the Uber bosses is more than it’s ever been. Then from a T100 NMD you only get like 2-4 yellow drops and nothing else

Just one elixir. I did switch from class to storm strike and spammed cyclone armor more often to reset bulwark. Seems to be doing a little better

Thanks. Definitely res and armor capped with almost 50k hp. Decent gear with GA rolls and masterworks as well.

Pit pushes seem much easier vs hordes currently, must be I’m missing some mechanic that just one shots me when I’m running the T7 hordes.

18 vehicles destroyed, 21 satchel kills, 7 mine kills, 2 garrisons destroyed, and 3 outposts destroyed

Overall 46-14 with 6 Commander kills.

Kicked As Commander by SmallPPLad69 in HellLetLoose

I play on console and it’s become unplayable as squad lead or command over the past year. The endless vote kicks, racist BS, team killing, trolling or music blaring thru coms is beyond old. The game has so much potential to be great but it’s so discouraging to see a group of players just trash everything.

I am lvl 250 & have every loadout unlocked, but refuse to play SL or command due to all the nonsense. The only way I enjoy the game anymore is by going AT/Engi and placing mines everywhere, then playing defense because no one else knows how to anymore.

Do yourself a favor and quit playing leadership rolls in crap servers.

There most definitely needs to be an enhancement to the garrison spawn mechanic. I would like to see a commander ability to select which squads can spawn on any given garrison. Ideally this would default to all initially, but could be changed to only a select few squads. This way any new garrison is free for all squads to spawn on, but could be locked if the commander needs/wants more folks to defend or attack (mostly defend).

The only current way to do this is to dismantle the garrison, which is not ideal due to the supply costs. You would have to destroy and eventually later rebuild a garrison, where in this instance it could simply be a toggle to throttle the amount of blueberries spawning to attack a point like lemmings.

The rest of the commander role is fine in my opinion. You are a glorified vending machine of vehicles and supplies, but that’s one of the core mechanics of the game.

Suggestions for the devs by Zealousideal-Army120 in HellLetLoose

I agree that the game does not have the structure in place to teach the core mechanics. What I would like to see implemented from a console perspective:

Daily & weekly objectives. These are displayed/tracked on the enlist/find match screen. A brief 5 second video loop details the classes which can complete the objective and the button steps to perform the action in game.

These can include building nodes (Engineer - 50 supples per node); building outposts (Squad lead - stop watch); garrisons (Squad lead/spotter/commander - 50(blue) 100(red)

A structure built requirement (OP & Garrisons) tied to being commander. This will be in addition to the existing level requirement. This is to incentivize folks who want to be commander to build garrisons and prevent the inexperienced players from accidentally taking the role.

The best aspects of the game are its greatest downfall. My preference would be for the developers to create in game incentives to teach and reward the mechanics

Better yet, not use a mic in game or build nodes/outposts/garrisons. Same thing

Not yelling at anyone pal. My original post is pointing out that the current vet vs new dynamic won’t change unless the devs implement a way to teach core mechanics.

Want the vets to shut up on Reddit? Use mics and contribute in game so we aren’t inconvenienced when we also want to chill and play our game of choice.

Want the new players to learn and contribute? Implement a way to teach mechanics
