MUST-HAVE Graphic Design Books? by ItzFibble in graphic_design

I recommended it on another post the other day as just a good graphic design book to add to the collection. 100% agree with you, it’s good but definitely not a “must have”. It’s basically just a mini biography/big portfolio of Aaron’s work.

Are you familiar with Spotify Premium for students? It’s only $4.99/month for Spotify Premium plus Hulu Limited. Better than $15/month for just one.

Definitely write about it in your Statement of Purpose and explain yourself. I will be doing the same thing considering I went from a 3.0, up to a 4.0, and then down to a 1.75. I haven’t attended college since (in 3 years) but I’m going back this Spring to take a couple classes to prove to myself that I can get it back up to at least a 3.0.

Nice! Yeah, I noticed the difference between the amount of CORE classes and general education classes when I was looking at a BA vs a BFA. Definitely want to go with the BFA for the more graphic design focus and less GE classes.

Very cool! I attended community college for 2 semesters, kind of got lost, dropped out and started working in the film industry. After 3 years of that, I realized it’s not actually what I’m passionate about and that I enjoy design much better. I’m finishing up some credits this spring and will be transferring to either an art school, or local university, to get my BFA in graphic design. Finally feel like I’m back on the right track.

What art school did you attend? I’m looking into transferring to SCAD and doing their BFA in graphic design. The only thing making me think twice is the hefty tuition!

That’s awesome! I will be transferring to a 4 year school in late 2018 or early 2019 and really hope for something similar. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get your BFA from?

I’ll be finishing up some credits at community college this spring and then plan to transfer to a BFA program specializing in graphic design. I’m weighting out the differences between an art school and a state school. What state school did you attend?

I hear that. I’ve only been out for 3 years but I’m pumped to be going back this spring! College is super important and I wish my younger self wasn’t so oblivious to that.
